Chicago1983
I use a PS2 controller through a usb adapter and for some reason when I play MVP the right analog stick is mixed up. When I press up it does the command for pressing up and to the left. I can't seem to figure out how to fix this. Does anyone known what these values mean in the .cfg file? what does the -3 or +3 exactly mean? VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis-

hefalumps
There are a few other posts out there about this, but sometimes they can be hard to track down. This is what I did and it seems to work: VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 3 Basically, flip the 4's and the 3's. People have still said they're having problems with the runner not sliding the proper way when coming home, even with this stuff fixed. I'm not sure what that's about. Hope it helps! hefalumps
he's asking what the numbers actually mean not what the numbers should be Actually, if you reread his initial post, he was asking both how to fix it as well as what they mean. I at least answered how to fix it. As far as what they mean, I honestly don't know. Let's see if we can figure it out. In my controller.cfg: axis 1 is for Left/Right on my left analog stick axis 2 is for Up/Down on my left analog stick axis 3 is for Up/Down on my right analog stick axis 4 is for Left/Right on my right analog stick My thought is this - MVP expects that axis 3 will be mapped to Left/Right on right analog and 4 to Up/Down on right analog for most controllers. That seems to make the most sense since it follows the same order of the Left Analog stick. But I guess with some controlers (like your's and my Saitek P880), for some reason axis 3 and 4 are mapped in a different order, which is why we have to make the correction in controller.cfg. It's just the particular order that the axes get mapped to the controller. Probably different for every controller and controller software drivers. That's my best guess. Chicago1983
Word. Thanks hef, I am about to try out what you suggested. I already tried flipping the +/- and that really screwed things up, so hopefully switching the 3/4's will work.
