smsudi
I was playing my roommate in a LAN game and what was happening on our two screens was different. I hit a double, but on his screen I grounded out. So, we thought that id just disconnecting and we were each playing the computer, but we were still actually playing eachother, just with different situations...Odd.... Lual
are you using exactly the same mods on ip-ip games over the net - if either player has a different mod installed, the game just goes out of sync when i say mod - from the games ive played in, im sure its just the datafile mod - possibly roster mod too
smsudi
Yeah you must be right, I have the patch for the updated roster from EA, and also I'm using a different datafile. If we decide to play again I'll fix that up. Still considering getting the game for Xbox, but I must rent both MVP and 2k5 over my spring break and see which is the better one for the console. Viceman2004
MVP BY FAR!!! lol. Anyways, im getting MLB06 soon. I have MVP for pc already. This acually happened to me a few minutes ago. It turns out it was the datafile mod by KSM. Does anyone know how to install two different games? I want one for my mods/dynasty etc. and one to play online. any ideas? DarkEnigma510
Just make a copy folder of "clean" game file. When I start modding, I copy the original folder so that if any of my mods crash the game, I can always use the clean files again. When I want to use the clean files, I just change the name of my "modded" folders to "mod--MVP Baseball 2005" or something like that and rename the clean folder to "MVP Baseball" that way the game will start using the clean folders. You could always do that with online---just use your clean folder before online play to avoid those problems.

Molitor
so players must have same datafile to play online or must they have the same everything? Thanks.
KerryW
DO NOT use datafiles when playing multiplayer- period...unless, of course, both PC's have exact copies of the file
