getting your PS2/XBOX controller recognized on PC

If you cant get the controller to work due to drivers this will not help you. Im only familar with using a XBOX mod for my PC controller needs so might be able to help somewhat. As long as MVP is detecting your mod as the current controller this should work:

***warning. If you are not familar with editing registry files and don't feel comfortable doing so then try this at your own risk***

Open regedit.exe from RUN

Find the reg key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlMediaPropertiesPrivatePropertiesJoystickOEMVID_0738&PID_4516

Right click on Modify with OEMName highlighted and change the value to:

Logitech Dual Action

This forces MVP and most other EA games to use Logitech Dual Action as the profile. Also you can use controller.cfg in wordpad (should be under My Documents) to get the exact results you would like for mapping. Also your right stick should work right for 'big play control' properly.

Hope this helps.

You don't have to do that for MVP 2005.

You did for 2004, but not 2005...mine recognized my "XBCD Xbox controller" just fine without making it a logitech Dual Action

On mine it recognized it as XBCD but the right stick didnt work properly from scratch. Also there was no 'profile' for the XBCD that worked right for me. Could have been a personal issue but everything works exactly like i want it now :)

Any people out there using the Logitech Dual Rumblepad 2? For some reason I keep losing the vibration. I wiggle the left analog stick and it comes back. Has anyone else had this problem and do you know how to fix it, thanks.
