mrg1 Posted March 16, 2005 Share Posted March 16, 2005 Im creating Grover Cleveland Alexander to put on my all-star team, and was wondering if anyone here knows what pitches he used. He's well known for his 4 seamer and curve, but the site i usually reference for CAPs has him also throwing a knuckleball, which I'm pretty sure is wrong. If someone could hook me up with his repetoire of pitches, it would be appreciated. Kelvarr Posted March 21, 2005 Share Posted March 21, 2005 How do you throw a 4-Seam sinking fastball? Shouldn't the seam rotation force the ball to rise a little, if anything? That's what I was taught as a catcher/outfielder...you want to throw with 4-seams because the ball will stay more level rather than diving or tailing.
