saimon33
Bottom of the 15th, yankees (me) vs. cardinals. Sturtze at the mound. First hitter, singles at left. The comes the pitcher mike myers. Try to bunt, he gets foul ot. 1 OUT. Then the third batter (dont remember names) singles at center, the guy at first advance to second. 1 OUT 4th batter, grounded to 3rd base, Rodriguez grabs the ball, tag the base, put out the runner from 2nd and then throws to first, getting out the batter. The runner in first goes to second. The commentator says DOUBLE PLAY. 3 OUTS? Then... Larry Walker gives me a 2 RBI HR...????? I rerally dont understand, perhaps it wasnt a double play.. or i miss something else.. cause... i dont get it :?: :?: :(
LetsGoOakland
I'm a little lost. Larry Walker on the other team gives you a 2-run jack? I need a bit of clarification on that. But it does sound like something went awry if you got three outs and the inning continued.
daddy
I'm little lost too, but it sounds like there were runners on first AND second. That would make a force play at third, throw to first....double play.

Runners in 1st and 2nd, 1 OUT, ground tho third, Rodriguez forces the out at third, throw to first, doble play, 3 OUTS, then Larry Walker hits a 2 RBI HR. Dan
Did both of the guys out (supposedly) leave the field?
saimon33
Did both of the guys out (supposedly) leave the field? Yes, the only one remaining was the guy at 2nd (he advances from 1st in the groundball to 3rd). Then Larry Walker crash it to Right Field for the 2 RBI HR.
