Snash....you seem to be correct about Shane Spencer. I put up a post in the official Yankee thread and according to MarkB it looks like he was released.

Thanks for your and Fanatik's hard work. I am looking forward to your opening day version.

I will try and put up any info I can on the Yankees.

P.S. Sorry for the double post (this one here and the other in your other roster thread)

vernon wells contact and power vs. RHP are way to low

power-60=about 83 contact-70=about 87

I don't see where you are getting this at all. He hit 13 homeruns against right-handed pitchers in almost 400 AB's last season and hit only .267.

I know he had a great year the year before but one year should not dictate a person's ratings. So I think they should leave it alone or increase it maybe 5-6 points until Wells does it again and again and again. If people juudged ratings on one season, they could give Erstad 70+ power. Get my point?

Try not to be biased

At a quick glance, here are the problems with the Mets:

Jeff Keppinger , Scott Stewart and Ramon Castro are on two different teams within the organization. Keppinger is in AAA and AA, Stewart and Castro are on the MLB and AAA squad.

Todd Van Poppel has retired

Danny Garcia has been released

Orber Moreno and Joe Nelson are not starters. Both are short term relievers with Nelson able to go 2-3 at times.

On the MLB team, you only have 4 bench players with 13 pitchers. No team in the national league or american league do that so bring up either Kerry Robinson, Calloway, or Woodward for now. Just FYI, Woodward and Castro are basically locks to make this team and......... Jason Phillips is about to be traded for K. Ishii so something has to be done with Steve Trachsel. Any ideas?

As far as attributes go, they only give Mientkiewicz a 59 rating against LHP and a 64 rating against RHP when he has posted the following averages in his career:

.306

.261

.300

Thats two times he has posted above a .300 average so I myself would raise those numbers to 68 and 71. Nothing too dramatic.

Almost forgot. This hasnt been set in stone but I am sure that on the days the Mets have a DH, Piazza will be the one to inherit the DH spot and Castro will take his Catching spot.

GOLDENSUITCASE,

Wells has had atleast 22 home runs in the last 3 years and had 32 homeruns in 2003 so his power should be way more than 60
