ShesHotSheSteals
Right now I'm using a nvidia g force mx 400 that came with my pc and 256 ram Irs actually running pretty good, I can tell the graphics arnt as good as they could be but considering I was playing mvp on my ps2 I'm not really complaining. I am noticing a little slow up especially when the ball is beimg thrown I was thinking about upgrading to 512 ddr ram , but will I notice a significant difference ? also what would be a good upgrade for a video card with this game ? I also had a geforce 4 mx 440. It makes a huge difference. I would suggest an upgrade.
enuttage
I agree. A solid (not necessarily even over-the-top) GFX card couldn't hurt. I'm using the GeForce FX 5900 XT and it's purring at highest resolution. Very fun. Very pretty. -E
ShesHotSheSteals
are graphics cards hard to install for someone who isnt so computer savy . I mean I'm not an ifiot but I dont want to mess stuff up
carter
if you know how to open up the computer and you know what an AGP slot is, it won't be difficult at all. i would recommend doing the installation yourself. it's pretty straight forward. good luck, carter
enuttage
Agreed. The hardest part is usually figuring out how to get your computer case open. From there, it's pretty straightforward. Let us know if you decide to get a new card and need a walkthrough. -E

ShesHotSheSteals
what would I need in a graphics in order to watch tv ?
five
what would I need in a graphics in order to watch tv ?Well the question is, do you have a spare vcr or cable box? If you do then you can get any vid card that has video input. You would just use the vcr or cable box to change the channel. If you don't have a spare one, you could either get a ati all-in-wonder card or a nvidia cinema card. They both have video tuners built in. You could also get a video card and a separate tv tuner card. If you already have a decent video card, it would only cost about $50 to get a tuner card. ShesHotSheSteals
does these video cards have a tv tuner ? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...mp;type=product at best buy in my location this card(above link) comes with Half life 2 when it comes out, and obviosuly that is going to be big factor in my decesion other card Im considering http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...mp;type=product Is there a huge quality difference in these cards? five
Neither one of those cards have a built in tuner, this one does and it's cheaper than both of those cards: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-345&depa=0 If you're worried about purchasing online, don't worry about newegg, they are tremendous. As far as your other question, there is a pretty good difference between the 9800 and the 9600. However, if you're not a huge gamer save a $100 and get the 9600. They have both the 9600 and the 9600xt. The 9600xt is $80 more. Also, the 9800 Pro does have video in with no tuner (you'd have to use a vcr or cable box as your tuner). five
Also, if you really want to get the vid card at bestbuy they do offer the AIW cards: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...goryId=cat01151 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...goryId=cat01151 They also have a cheap add-on tuner card ($50): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id...goryId=cat01151
snepp
If you're going to be installing a video card, I suggest investing in an anti-static wriststrap. They're cheap, generally less than 5 bucks, and can save you headaches in the future. :)
ShesHotSheSteals
I've decided on an ATI all in wonder 9800 Now the question I have is when I install the new graphics card is MVP 2004 going to automatical detect the new card and use it to its full potentional
five
No, you may have to go in and check a few things. It won't automatically default to highest settings. You'll have to go into video options and manually adjust them. When you get your new card, check out these benchmarks: AquaMark3, 3DMark03, Gun Metal, and Commanche 4. They will give you a good idea about your performance and if it is where it needs to be.

These are both better cards than that first one you linked to on e-bay...for $199 US you should be able to get a pretty kick *** card. A good site to compare prices is www.pricewatch.com Installing is fairly easy, I certainly wouldn't pay anyone to do it...if you are not comfortable with it, ask around at work or school, someone probably will be
