I wish EA would just turn MVP over to this sight before release, so the 5th and 6th graders could clean the game up and tweak it. I am going back to MVP 2004...

The Graphics are really the same...there has not been any huge jump or improvement in animation....and still....no home plate collisions...still we have ball parks around the leauge such as Fenway where the balls hit to certain parts of the field cause automatic inside the park homeruns...and the commentary for lack of a better word..blows...Maybe ESPN will be able to show EA how to show "Game Presentation" as it should.

Maybe next year we will see more stats on the screen about what the player has done during a certain pitcher or against a certain team ..rather than getting the all too important info on what shape the outfiled grass is cut!

Maybe next year I will see more than 3 to 4 k's by showtime pitchers...

I thank all of you here who have tried to make this years version of MVP more enjoyable....but I have yielded to EA,s celebration of Mediocrity....

My favorite is when he says this " Maybe the pitcher should just throw over to first to see if this guys shows bunt."

He says this with no one on base.

I don't know about your games, but in mine he mentions the bunt with almost every batter.

ARod at bat "Don't be surprised if this guy lays down a bunt" He said it with 2 outs in the 3rd inning and I am up by 4 runs!

About D'Angelo Jimenez:

"This guy is a switch-hitter. But he's definitely more comfortable batting right handed."

Contact vs RHP: 76

Vs lhp...in the 50s.

It never fails, if my team is down by as little as 2 runs in a low scoring game and as late as the 6th or 7th inning (even if it is just 2-0): "I'm sure he intended to come out and have a good game, but you can't be on all the time." Or "This guys doesn't seem to have his best stuff today."

Once I got the comment: "He's all over the place and these hitters are going to make him throw a strike..." or some such comment... My pitcher at that point had thrown a total of ONE pitch in the first inning, and it had just happened to be a ball.

I had a guy on first and the next batter up, and the comment was "He's swiped 2 bases." So I thought he was talking about the runner on first. But then later, I have nobody on base and a batter up, and I hear, "He's swiped one base." So I guess that previous time, they were talking about the guy at bat and his stolen bases, not the guy actually on base.

The one that really gets on my nerves is the one that goes like: "What a great job by the pitcher! Even though he's behind in the count, he digs in, throws great pitches, and he gets the strikeout." That's just too much talking about ONE at bat!

100 years into your Dynasty, and these guys will still be announcing and having "recently" sung at Wrigley during the 7th inning stretch...

I though the 03-04 High Heat commentary needed work, but it's a masterpiece compared to this. I never played the Triple Play series (because I had High Heat at the time), but how was Buck Martinez and Jim Hughson's commentary in comparison, considering how long ago it was? These guys, way back when they did the Blue Jays broadcasts on TSN, were pretty good, IMO.

Personally I think that High Heat 2001 (after using a proper tune file) is probably the best Base Ball sim since the Front Page Sports series back in the 90s. It is unfortunate that a game has all of the pit falls as this does and to make matters even worse they put a season cap on the game. If you have the option to play 120 seasons why not just take the cap away and allow the player to go as long as they want to. Even worse is the owner cap of 30 seasons. At the very least you would think you could play 120 seasons the same as the season mode. With all of that being said the graphics are eye candy but unfortunately some pit falls in the game wants me to go back to High Heat again.

to be honest I really think the commentators are better this year than last year. They give you some info about the current season stats and they do change their comments about players every now and then.

However, it does get repetitive and annoying after a while.

I don't know how to change announcers but the thing they do that annoys me most is this:

You give up a single or walk to a fast runner. You throw over to first 2 or 3 times. The announcer makes a big deal out of it:

"He's throwing over to first --AGAIN!!!!" like making fun of you for being so crazy.

Then the next pitch the guy steals second and the annoying "color" announcer announces that I just did a bad job not paying attention to the runner and that's why he stole second.

There's too much stuff criticizing the player at home who didn't even do anything wrong, so I usually play with the announcers off. It's way more relaxing that way, it's more like an afternoon at the ballpark instead of being made fun of by two jerky guys every time I miss the strike zone.

As someone who played every release of TP, It by far was better in commentary than HH and MVP series. What I liked was that it kept track of your in game stats along with your season stats in the same game. If you stole 3 bases it said, hes had a great day stealing three bases. It kept up with on pace stats during game play after the first month, and the fan support would be according to wins and losses and pennent position. I loved TP series and wished it hadnt gone away, but MVP looks like it might have had a chance to be like that, alas like all series, they must come to a premature end.

Another thing I hate is if I intentionally walk someone if I have an open base, I get something stupid like That intentional walk may come back to hurt them, lets see what happens. Last time I checked, walking was part of the game, but kuip is a moron. He never talks about smart baseball..................BIG BOY! ! ! ! ! !
