Kccitystar
Exactly which converter do you have, sir?
nickepicke
Something called "boom psx to pc converter". Bought it two years ago for my copy of high heat 2004. Worked fine every time..
GriffeYank
Press Start Goto Run... type "regedit" without the quotes Press Go See the tree on the left? Find this in the tree: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Media Properties Private Properties Joystick OEM Now you should see 4 files, but all you need it the OEMName. Now rightclick on OEMName and select Modify. Now all you have to do is change your current joystick's name to " Dual USB Feedback Joypad " without the quotes, and your joystick should work. You can use my current configuration which is almost identical to PS2's version of the game. just paste it in your My Documents/MVP folder's controller configuration. profile= Dual_USB_Feedback_Joypad device= Dual_USB_Feedback_Joypad player= 1 number_of_buttons= 16 number_of_povs= 0 number_of_axis= 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_START= button 10 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SELECT= button 9 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CROSS= button 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_CIRCLE= button 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_SQUARE= button 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_TRIANGLE= button 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L1= button 7 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R1= button 8 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L2= button 5 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R2= button 6 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L3= button 11 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R3= button 12 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_UP= button 13 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_DOWN= button 15 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_LEFT= button 16 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_DPAD_RIGHT= button 14 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 1 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_UP= axis+ 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_L_STICK_DOWN= axis- 2 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_RIGHT= axis- 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_LEFT= axis+ 3 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_UP= axis+ 4 VPAD_VIRTUAL_BUTTON_R_STICK_DOWN= axis- 4 VPAD_PITCH_1= button 3 VPAD_PITCH_2= button 2 VPAD_PITCH_3= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_4= button 1 VPAD_PITCH_5= button 8 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_SECOND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_PICK_OFF_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_PITCH_OUT= button 3 VPAD_THROW_BALL= not_assigned -1 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_WALK= button 12 VPAD_INTENTIONAL_HITBATTER= button 11 VPAD_PITCH_HISTORY_OPEN= button 11 VPAD_SWING_NORMAL= button 3 VPAD_SWING_BUNT= button 12 VPAD_CHARGE_MOUND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_FIRST= button 2 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_SECOND= button 1 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_THIRD= button 4 VPAD_FIELD_THROW_HOME= button 3 VPAD_FIELD_SWITCH= button 7 VPAD_FIELD_RELAY_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_CUTOFF_THROW= button 6 VPAD_FIELD_FAKE_RUNDOWN_THROW= button 8 VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 2 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 1 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= button 14 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= button 13 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= button 16 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= button 15 VPAD_BASERUNNER_ADVANCEALL= button 7 VPAD_BASERUNNER_RETREATALL= button 8 Happy gaming. jmod
I know this thread is old, but this actually helped me and got my controller working after trying all day long to get it configured naming it logitech dual action in the registry. Anybody who's doing that and not having any success, try this, this worked for me. I appreciate the help.

Alvan9
I had this same problem on my old computer. And I did end up getting it working with no problems. But my problem now is that I have a new computer with Vista on it, and when I did this the same way my game controller still labels it 4 axis 16 butoon joystick. For the life of me I can't figure out how to change it to the Dual USB. I modified the name, and it reads under OEM Name: (Default) Type: REG_SZ Data: Dual USB Feedback Joypad I cannot change Default but can change the value data to Dual USB Feedback Joypad Any ideas? This is really really frustrating.
