I have searched all over for cyberface tutorial, but have found that the ones are for different games. I do not know how that translates to MVP. But i would really love to see a complete face-making tutorial for MVP so i can practice doing this hard but great skill. Can anyone please help on this?

making the faces is easy... and I come from NHL 2005 where it is harder to match up player face shapes since there is no ord/orl files in NHL2005.

But for mvp there is the ord/orl files which you can open with oedit abd apply your textures to it to see how the face will map out.

Now the one thing I am interested in is how you can give created players a custom face.

i would like to see a tutorial on BOTH...editing existing faces and creating a new one from scratch. Seeing as there a few experts on here like Terminatorkorea on this, i really would love to learn how to do this so i can help out and contribute. if we all pitch in, we can get whatever we all want done without having to request all the time!

Well I can make the faces.

Here is my own cyberface (with custom jerseys I made)

Jarret Stoll of the Edmonton Oilers

I've made almost all of the Edmonton Oilers. I made Wayne Gretzky, some prospects and a few other players.

The only thing I need help with is how to get them into the game and how to give created players a face.

Well for NHL it is a lot harder than MVP, that I can be sure of. With NHL there is a new file format called ebo. Sad thing is no one in the nhl addon community has been able to crack this file for the faces. So for us to make new cybers for players EA left out, we have to export the fsh and the ebo. We try to find pics of the player from all angle to give us an idea what their face shape is like. So for Stoll, I used Ethan Moreau (also from the Oilers) and it turned out as the one you see above. Then you open the fsh of the one player (moreau) and you paste a picture of the player you want to create (stoll, same pic I used is in that cyber preview).

Then it is blending and airbrushing, dodge tool to help match skin tones. I try and line up the eyes to the exsisting player and then work from there. For mine I used Scott Hannah from the San Jose Sharks since the nose shape is almost identical. After you have the blending done and whatnot, then I add some sharpness to the top layer (new players face) for some more texture. Once it is all done, I rename the fsh and ebo file to the same as the player I wanted to make. Moreau is 577 and Stoll is 1203. So I had to change those files to match Stoll's numbers. Then I used fshx to import the new fsh over stoll's exsisting face. Saved it and used biggui to import the ebo and fsh files into the gamedata/faces.viv folder. Once that was done, I compressed and played the game and viola! That was the gameshot I got.

Same with NBA Live. I make some cyberfaces for Live, but the new ebo files are uneditable.
