Spot
Okay guys, no matter what, I can't find a way around this error. I get it whenever I'm starting the program, and then it closes. Any ideas?

ataris812
I had the same problem at first. What I did instead was download the 2004 version, then take the steps to update it to the 2005 version (which can be found on the download page of MVPedit). After I did that, it worked just fine. fuzzone
So I take it you haven't found a cure either? nope, i found a cure, but only with the ocx's that my program gives. I have no problem with mvpedit at all. Ocx's are usually are result of missing files on a user's system.
RAM
Tried that. No luck. did you try doing it manually ie copy and pasting the file into the sys32 folder and then running the command via start-> run-> reg.....? it should have fixed it right away gving a successfuly registered message. it may be giving you another error indicating that there is yet another file missing (pay particular attention to the error message to see if the missing file named has changed to something else), in that case the ascentive site has all of the needed files to remedy the problem.after my system crashed and i had to reinstall xp i was missing like 4 or 5 of the files, first was the TABCTL32.OCX, then another and so on. after i got them all updated it was good to go. just a suggestion, you may on the right track on your own. indyford
Tried that. No luck. I had the same exact problem, but the above link and directions worked fine for me. Make sure you try doing it manually... physically copy the file into system32 and registering the .ocx from the run line.
