ohetfieldo
What are some good trades I can make to get rid of Jason Giambi? The CPU is very aware of contracts and I'd like to get someone out of it, releasing him would be my last resort.
saimon33
I trade it to anaheim for Darin Erstad (playing regular left field, and 1b against lefties w/o DH) and Tim Salmon (playing backup CF and sometimes starting against lefties) I think its a decent trade. Salmon's contract its about 1 Y and Erstad is 2.
GriffeYank
packaged him and minor leaguer 1B Andy Philips for my fave ex-yankee Mr.Soriano. Imagine how happy I was when this transpired.

GriffeYank
That's why this is a videogame. I don't care, i want Sori on my team, and Giambi off. Problem solved. :D

chiefpsu
Somebody would be willing to take Giambi if the Yankees picked up enough of his contract. Since you can't add cash in the game, you have to be willing to take on the same salary. The Orioles aren't too fond of Sosa, Anaheim with Erstad and Salmon, the Braves with Chipper Jones, Bartolo Colon, Jeff Kent, Hideo Nomo, Ken Griffey, Sidney Ponson etc. Package one of those guys with a second tier player (or two) to where the salaries match Giambis and you're golden.
