not sure about just the camera's because I haven't had a chance to play with that lately.

As for installing the mod, just extract the datafile.txt of the camera view you want to your MVP2005/data folder and that's it!

well it might seem trivial considering all the camera mods out there. but I haven't had much luck scribing the cameras into another datafile or scribing cameras into the KSM datafiles.

IMO the batting views weren't consistent between right-hand and left-hand. I tried adjusting the cameras several times and also tried inserting known-good cameras and most times I ended up with a black screen.

as much as I liked the mods this guy has put out, I've given up on them.

Yeah, in his previious version the right and left batters views were different, but he seems to have cleared that up with the 2.5 mod. It really is a good mod.

I've found that the easiest way to transfer parts of one datafile to another is with a program called Compareit. All you have to do is load up two datafiles and the program will compare the differences between the two and allow you the easily modify one or the other. You can get it at:

Also, KSM's v2.5 seems to be a pretty good Datafile. He has made several tweaks over v1.0 and even tweaked the appearance of the swing meter a bit. However, I didn't care for his Batterview4, so with Compareit, I just imported my favorite view4 into his datafile and I was good-to-go. Enjoy.

Did he get rid of the issue of outfielders bare-handing most of the hits?

I have played 3 games with v2.5 and have seen maybe 2 barehanded OF grabs of grounders. No barehanded grabs mid-air yet. :)

I was playing against the Orioles, and hit two rocket-shots at Tejada. Both were ground balls, and he got both of them with a bare hand.

Other than that, I haven't seen a bare-handed play on one that doesn't deserve it.

Definitely play on All-Star though...Pro is a little too easy, as I blanked Boston, Baltimore, New York and Minnesota in back-to-back-to-back-to-back games with the Devil Rays!

Hmmm...wonder what animation he changed to cause that? That's the main thing that bothered me about his 1.5 release...I went back to 0.5...

I just don't get why he can't just not mess around with so much crap (and make the game sometimes unplayable) and just release a vanilla datafile with his cams and nothing else.

Maybe it is just me, but the kinds of hits you get are of good variety with his datafile.

With the default, I was getting a lot of "floaty" line drives. I still get them occasionally, but I get better overall hits now I think.

*shrugs* maybe it's just me.

LOL... I'm still working on them... give me until a bit later today and I'll have them available for download :).

You want just a default datafile + that ESPN cam, right?

Yeah, but he adds other tweeks that screws up game play. Can we just get one with cameras only?

What kinds of things are you noticing? I'm just curious, because apparently I don't see them.

What version do you like of his?

EZ,

Thank you so much for that program. It helped me put the finishing touch to my wide screen mod...thanks again.
