kals38
EZ, Thank you for posting the link to the "Compare It" file. It is a Godsend. The only way the game is playable for me (minimal stuttering) is with KSM's fielding cameras plus I love his pre-game & batter-walk-up stuff but not the rest of his game-play tweaks. Very easy file to use with a line by line, side-by-side comparison of two different data files. It was simple to simple merge his camera mods into a datafile with better gameplay settings and we're off to the races. I can't recommend this file enough to people like me who barely understand the datafile and how to adjust it. Thanks!
bubs3141
I tried compareit but it looks all weird. How do you do it so you can read it. Looks like all symbols??
kals38
I tried compareit but it looks all weird. How do you do it so you can read it. Looks like all symbols?? Use the Datafile-Tools file (Use the link below to download it off the MVP site) to decompress the datafile.txt and then you can open it. I extracted the files in the download to my Desktop then placed the datafile.txt file I wanted to decompress on my desktop and ran the Decompress executable. Then you can open the datafile.txt in Notepad and be able to read it. Do this for the two datafiles you want to edit/merge using the Compare It program. Obviously you can't have two files on your Desktop named datafile.txt so after decompressing the first one, re-name it. Then bring the 2nd datafile.txt that you wish to decompress and repeat the process. Open them both using the Compare It program and simply use the Merge Line < or > function to copy the specific lines that you want from one file to the other. When you're done, make sure the file that has all the changes made to it is named datafile.txt on your Desktop. Then run the Recompress executable from the Datafile-Tools to get it back into a format the MVP can read. Then place that file into your Data folder in MVP. http://www.mvpmods.com/modules.php?name=Do...amp;lid=1308#dl
spitoon
I tried compareit but it looks all weird. How do you do it so you can read it. Looks like all symbols?? It's not compareit that your are having problems with, you have to uncompress the datafile.txt first. USE THIS
