Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2024

I just purchased this game for PC and it's pretty damn good. I know it's based on the Unreal engine and can't help but wonder what kind of modding is possible, if any. Does anyone have any experience working with the Unreal engine?

I bought it on Steam for like $70 but had to jump through some hoops to get it done. Probably not worth the hassle for most people. You can find some good info in the following thread over at OperationSports.

Following this! I'm very curious to see what can be done with this game. #1 would be an English translation!

Also, you can get this game for $25 if you buy an Indonesian Steam card and buy through the Indonesian Steam site. This is the cheapest way to do it. I assume this is due to exchange rate. That's the only reason I can think of.

Thank you. What an impressive video.

One thing to be mindful of is that Konami does create a really solid baseball simulation, it also tries to provide a solid representation of japanese baseball culture which can vary a lot from what we experience in the US, like the high school baseball programs and tournament.

From what I've seen people play, I like the fact that the high school baseball mode features players on teams who will hit with aluminum bats and others will hit with wood bats, which is pretty cool.

This game is not available in the US.

These are the only countries where the game is available:

Yes, it might be a bit difficult to purchase this game in the United States, but there's always a way. If you're interested in it, you should give it a try.

Here's how I got mine:

1. Get a VPN that can connect to Indonesia and connect your VPN to an Indonesian server.
2. Go to the Steam website (NOT APP. Make sure to use a search engine to find the Indonesian Steam and then translate the page.) and create an Indonesian account. Very important that you do this on the Indonesian site
3. Add game to cart (should be 375,000 RP)
4. Go to seagm.com and get an Indonesia Steam card. (400,000 RP cost $25)
5. Add steam card to account.
6. Check out. Then log in on the Steam app with the account and download. You can use this account alongside your current US account (or whatever country your current account is)

That's basically how I got it as well. Got an ultrawide monitor recently so I've been messing around with it some more. It doesn't have ultrawide support by default so you kind of have to break into unreal engine and while doing that I also boosted the rendering to 4k and maxed out some other things. It's definitely a looker, and it helps that I've been following NPB pretty close since 2020 to know my way around the league, I just wish I didn't have to hold my phone up to translate text so I could get deeper into the modes.L8R80pZ.png

Those screen shots look beautiful. What has been preventing me from attempting me to acquire this game is that I won’t be able to get deeper into it. I see some things written in English to get by but not a lot.

I was thinking why didn’t Konami release it here? Major league baseball is followed and viewed over in Japan so why not sell this game here? Then I realized why. Major league baseball probably does not want any competition from anyone in this country and they don’t want to have the casual or uneducated fan to see how baseball is played without launch angles, bat flipping and personalized hand shakes for every player on the team. In short, these Japanese guys play the game and this game from what I’ve seen and viewed on Youtube is the real deal. If it was sold here I would even buy a Playstation 5.

I also think the league itself is riddled with strange licensing issues. There's no way to watch the central league (NL) outside of Japan or even find clips of games. Pacific league (AL) is all over YouTube and they have their own streaming service. A lot of it has to do with most teams being owned by corporations instead of an ownership group so I'm sure there's some crazy hoops they'd have to jump through with tv company's or something to distribute anything overseas.

It's probably a mix of MLB/SDS and that stopping Konami from really investing in it outside of Asian territories. It's a real shame. There's a whole franchise style mode dedicated to building a high school baseball team from scratch, there's a traditional season and player career modes, there's some cool stuff in it that unless someone who really knows the language and how to mod unreal engine 4 works on it will just be completely lost to the west.
