Bench clearing brawl

Recommended Posts

This was too cool, Late in the game (Cubs vs. Royals) Kerry Wood on the mound 41 pct. left he beans David Dejesus he then charges the mound, (Im Cubs - Cpu Royals) both benchs clear and its on just when its getting good the camera zooms way out and it flashes he has been subbed out, hats all over the field and it looked really awesome. I thought it was preety cool that the cpu charged the mound and gets tossed most of the time its the other way around but we all know what happens when you mash the 4 button!Still very cool. First time Ive ever seen that!

I also saw something cool, but maybe not quite that cool...

My running was barreling toward home. The catcher had the ball, and had himself set up to defend the plate. I hit the right analog stick at the right time, and my runner made a fist and forearmed the catcher right in the head. There was even a replay where you really see the forearm connect, and the catcher's head snap back from the blow.

Unfortunately, it was all for nothing...the catcher held on to the ball...dammit

What happens when you mash the 4 buttons and which should I mash. Serious question.

No mashing required...when you get beaned, you press the button designated for second base (4 on my PC controller) to charge the mound.

No doubt, mash it once you get ejected- before you can press it again! (ie) it says charge mound press it and your gone, no matter who, sometimes in 04 both pitcher and batter.

Yeah, one time I was playing my friend & he was the Yankees (I was the Royals, I think). He hit me & I charged the mound ((Randy Johnson was pitching, so I said, here is my opportunity to knock Johnson out of the game), indeed a player on the Yankees got tossed, but it was Derek Jeter, not Johnson. (I got tossed too. I knew I would be but I figured it was worth the trade-off)

I was playing the the Braves and Kris Benson beaned 4 guys. Brawl insued and not only was Benson kicked (thought it was a cool way to end his game) but my player was also kicked.... which made me think I fucked some guys up

they really need to let you control the player you are charging the mound with, or the pitcher who is being charged on, just like you can control a player in a fight in the nhl series.

What's even worse is, that you hardly get to see the fight. The game cuts away from the fight before you see anything really happen. (I think it may have something to do with the agreement they have with either the MLB or the MLBPA) (or both).

I have had an injury occur during a fight, but the only reason I knew, was because the screen popped up to tell me that the player was injured. (& to quote them, "let's hope it's not serious".) Hmmm... a broken spine... nah, not serious...

Yea, Ea has to keep there "E" rating intact so it cannot contain violence of any kind. Just like the "No Blood" or gore in Medal of Honor. Ea always keepin it clean, Yay!
