Anyone Gotten A Response From EA Regarding Choppiness Issue?

I haven't been around much since I have been playing MLB 2006, which has its own issues. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything new from EA about possibly patching the game for the choppiness issue. It's been a couple of weeks since the last patch, which was of no help. Anyone gotten an official response or read one anywhere?

hey jpup what's up bro? actually i just found a ray of hope for all of us here http://forums.simcentral.net/showthread.ph...age=1&pp=25 seems they have figured it out @ EA but haven't announced a fix yet. i'm sure it's the same problem as last year. go figure

Here is the response I got from EA... it's a repost from what I passed on to MVP Mania...

Thank you for contacting EA technical support.

There is an ongoing issue with this graphical curruption. Developement is aware of the issue and is working on a patch for this.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please keep the game updated, I assure you it is being worked on.

How is MLB 2006? Im thinking of getting it. What kind of issues?

MLB 2006 is a game on PS2. It's very good.

The issues are that it freezes during gameplay sometimes. Turning the presentations from many to normal almost fixes the problem though. The roster editor also leaves a lot to be desired, actually it's broken. 989 has been releasing updates to the rosters every week which helps a lot.

I would suggest buying the game. It's the closest thing to a sim that I have seen since High Heat.

Oh well, I don't own a playstation 2. I own an X-box, but I almost never buy games for it since I use my P.C. for games. (P.C. is a much better game system than an X-box or Playstation 2)

I used to use my X Box to watch DVD's with, however now that I got an awesome Sony dedicated DVD Recordable (with 160 gig hard drive that can record T.V. to either the hard drive or to a DVD disk both recordable or re-writeable) I don't even use it for that. So it's just a dust magnet now. (& this is right after I spent money getting a High Def. Monster brand cable for the video & a Monster brand fiber optic cable for the audio LOL)

I have a Toshiba DVD recorder with a hard drive, it think it's about 80 gigs or something. I can record over 100 hours on it. I haven't used it to burn a dvd, but use it everyday to record TV programs. I love it.
