donjn
Stop what you are doing. Go out and order a Geforce 6600 AGP regular for $150. Search on pricewatch.com. Be careful not to get the PCI-Express version. Right now for the money its the best deal in town and will flat out smoke that FX5500. I love Geforce but other than the 5900, the whole 5XXX series sucked big time. The Geforce 6600 for its price point is one of the best video cards in history. Valery Prikhodko
donjn, You right, but FX5500 cost from 50$ for NoName Card to 85$ for brandName, GF6600 start from 130$ and stop at 205$. 150$ is regular price for this card. FX5500 - suxx.
frozzted
There may be a big price difference, but the performance of the 6600 makes it worth it if you don't need a top end card.

donjn
MetsDrummer: That is a seriously low end card. It may be an upgrade to what you have and if getting a $46 video card is an upgrade to you I would suggest getting an Xbox so you dont need to upgrade for a couple years. The best place to order online hardware is www.newegg.com. Go there and do a search for geforce 6600 agp. Another excellent choice is the Radeon 9800pro and 9800xt. Although those almost cost as much at the 6600 with less performance. If you are really pinching pennies then get a Radeon 9600 for around a $100 plus. But like I mentioned if you cant get anything better than these cards then PC gaming is not for you :)
big shmooz
All I can Seem to find are the pci express. does this affect how well it runs Actually it depends on your motherboard. Unless you have a PCI express slot on your motherboard, getting a PCI express video card makes no sense, since you won't be able to use it.
