ntdgg711
Not sure if everyone already knows this, but I accidentally found that if you press button 3 and button 4 (1st base button and 2nd base button) at the same time during a REPLAY, the manager will come out to argue. This is SO much easier than having to go thru the pulldown menu.

mrmariner
I tried button 4 during a replay and it sure works. The funny thing about it was that my mariners just turned a sweet double play and I went out and argued for the other team and got tossed. That won't happen again, just hit the button to see if it would work.

I thought it was frustrating to go through the replay, then scroll through the menus to find "Argue Call", by the time I find it I'm usually 'Cooled Off' a bunch There is now a 100% chance that I'll be tossed from my next game
bcruise
I hear that..... I was playing a series of 3 games with my brother (I'm a Cubs fan, he's a Cards fan). I got nailed on a called third "strike" that was at least a few inches off the low left corner of the plate (we had variable strike zone on). I knew I was going to get tossed, but the call was so ridiculous that I didn't even care - I hit Triangle (PS2 version) during the replay and maxed out the intensity meter. I got my money's worth and we both got a kick out of it, knowing what would happen. Obviously I got thrown out, but to my surprise it gave me a positive reaction cutscene after the ejection! The game KNEW it screwed me on a ball/strike call! Previously I'd only seen reactions on close/blown calls on the bases. I ended up losing that game, but went on to take the other two. Fun stuff. Dan
OK I have a question when I hit the argument intensity button (Saitek P880) the meter goes up, but I am always afraid to hit it too much because then I will miss the argument by skipping the cutscene. Any help?
EviLMonkey
Im afraid to get the intensity meter up at all -when I do, I almost ALWAYS get booted.
rolliefingers08
if you argue balls and strikes, you're booted automatically, but i've often gotten halfway up on the meter for a base call and i haven't been tossed.
ntdgg711
Never argure balls and strikes or you're ejected. For close plays in the field, sometimes I max out the argue intensity and I still don't get ejected. I think it depends on the particular play - maybe how close the play was or something? However, if I come out and argue a 2nd time during the same game, I always get ejected, no matter if I push the intensity button or not. My question is, are there really instances when my players step it up a notch after my manager argues? Will they play better? I've seen where after he argues, the camera cuts to the bench and shows my players clapping and cheering, but does that mean they're having a "positive reaction" and thus will perform better? If this is the case, I think this is an AWESOME addition to MVP '05. Actually, I love arguing regardless.
