critical question about steal

Ok, the own player steal make by the CPU is too much irritating.

If i put the slider "Player Steal delay" to +50, the latence for a steal is increase and i could take my player running back, but i didn't see so much difference. So i have an interesting question : if a put the slider "CPU Steal delay" to +50 ??? Is there a difference ? My own player still stealing the base, even the homeplate, too early ???

My interpretation of this slider is.....when set at + you are making a longer delay from when the pitcher starts his delivery and when the base runners break for a steal...thus slowing the base runner's break towards the bag.

Are you playing Rookie? B/c at +50 for the Steal Delay slider this should be making stealing very difficult, not easier.

I'm using '0' for CPU Steal Delay, and '-5' for USER Steal Delay with good results.

I wasn't getting a good jump with USER at '0', getting thrown out too many times.

Yeah, can totally relate. I was wondering why a guy with 90 speed would steal 3 bases and get caught twice out of five chances. It was depressing me. I finally figured it out and now Im stealing what I should be. 8 of 11 with him. The ratios are good for 80+ speeds and even 70+speeds. I dont steal much with anything less. Unless its a double steal. I always get caught with lower speeds...lmao Makes me wonder why I even try it. Run myself outta innings that way getting greedy.

oh, my english is so bad ?

No, my question wasn't "how to steal" but "how avoid stolen base' by the CPU & our own players.

I'am playing All-Star (+25 contact) and my runners always steal on almost every pitches ! It's demoralizing  to have all yours runners out like this. But it's easier to running back a runner on a stolen start with a steal delay put at +50.

If you are saying that your players are automatically trying to steal, without you sending them, then I think there may be a problem with your gamepad...I've never seen this happen in my game.

Seriously ? This never happen in your game ? My 1ft base runner steals approximately once on two, and he's always out.

You play on PC ?

Yes, I'm playing PC. What gamepad are you using?

Is it possible that your gamepad is not mapped correctly causing the runners to react to the movements of your analog stick? If you have a dual analog gamepad, the runners should be controlled by the D-pad.

My gamepad is a Dual Shock Logitech.

My runners take off to steal before i push any button.

Have you tried calibrating your pad? It seems to me that something is telling the runners to advance...like the pad is calibrated wrong or malfunctioning.
