Reducing Double Plays... Sliders? Datafile?

I've been using the KSM datafile 3.5 with Spitoon's walk mod and have my sliders very close to giving realistic statistics.

One issue that I'm running into though is the unrealistic number of double plays that are being turned. Both the CPU and I are turning an average of nearly 2 DP's per game which would extrapolate into over 300 per season. The Major League leader in 2005 was the Pittsburgh Pirates with 189 DP's, so as you can see this number is far too high.

I've played around with the runner speed and throwing speed & accuracy, but don't want to jack those around too much due to the affect that it would have on the other aspects of the game. The problem seems to me to be that all ground balls are hit very hard which sets up the double plays perfectly. Very few soft grounders and chops.

Has anyone seen something incorporated into a datafile that would allow for more soft ground balls and bounces that would reduce the # of double plays. I'd also be receptive to slider settings that I could adjust, but really feel that the problem lies in the hard grounders.

I'm not a datafile guru, so any help would be appreciated.
