Germanno
Anyone remember which utility extracts datafile.txt from datafile.big? And does it work for MVP 2005? I remember using it on MVP 2004, just can't remember which tool. I'd like a clean datafile.txt to start modding and if its good enough to share here I don't want to get flamed like some roster modders who forgot to mention their source. Also I asked on the mod request forum if anyone knows the line in datafile.txt to increase cpu runners' leads from 2nd and 3rd while leaving the default leads from 1st. I'll ask the same here in case those with the knowledge don't look at that forum. Much thanks.
five
That would be Knight Owl's compression tool, grab it here.
ezdriver
That utility looks like it only decompresses a datafile.txt and recompresses the datafileEdit.txt back into a datafile.txt. I, too, would like to be able to open the datafile.big file to work from a "virgin" datafile. Is there a specific utility for this, because I didn't see that option available on Owl's tool. Thanks. ez

Germanno
Thanks also spitoon! I found that it was EAgraph from snepp's website and did a search with google for it. It is a utility for NBA Live. Didn't get a chance to post my find til now but I'm glad to see a fellow seamhead step up to the plate. Hey spitoon maybe you can help solve my other quandry. Namely (datafile stuff) how to get the cpu runner leads from 2nd and 3rd increased without changing the default leads from first. The only decent lead I've seen from 2nd was when Ty Cobb decided he was going to steal 3rd. Of course being a legend he made it.
