livnlegn
Do you use a controller or the keyboard?
Vieux_Renard
i use a Dual Action Logitech. That i change the configuration of the PAD or not, it's similar... My runner takes off on most of the time in my hitter's swing !
livnlegn
I have the same controller. What do you use to advance runners on a hit, the D-Pad or the Left Analog Stick? I ask this because I downloaded the newest drivers and it flipped controls (i.e. my D-Pad chose pitch location, controlled fielders, etc. and my Left Analog advanced runners). If this is the case you just need to go to control panel/game controllers/properties/settings and uncheck flip d-pad analog.
Vieux_Renard
I use the button 8 to "Advance All" and the button 4 to steal the 2nd (1 to steal the third, 2 to steal the homeplate...)... But i didn't push anyone of them and not more than the sticks ! Livnlegn, do you have the same problem before you install the lastest driver ??? snepp
Post your controller configuration. It sounds like you have one of the "advance base" buttons setup the same as your swing button.
Vieux_Renard
ok, i'll post it soon cause i'am in the office. But i repeat : i don't push on any button.... and the runner take off.

spitoon
I don't understand why you have buttons to control your baserunners? It seems to me that your controller.cfg is messed up... it looks to me like: VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= pov270 1 and VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= button 3 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= button 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= button 2 are swapped.... My Logitech pad is set up to use the D-pad to control the runners. Press UP to send the runner to (or to steal) Second, Left for Third, Right for First and Down for Home. By default it contols the lead runner, the only time I use a button is to select someone other than the lead runner. I can post mine when I get home tonight. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I could be wrong, and I'll check my config, but I think it should look like this: VPAD_RUNNER_FIRST_SELECT= button 3 VPAD_RUNNER_SECOND_SELECT= button 4 VPAD_RUNNER_THIRD_SELECT= button 1 and VPAD_RUNNER_RUNFIRST= pov90 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNSECOND= pov0 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNTHIRD= pov270 1 VPAD_RUNNER_RUNHOME2SCORE= pov180 1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I'm correct, with your settings, when you press button 2 to swing, you are also telling your runner (wherever he is) to steal home....obviously a bad thing ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vieux_Renard
No, in my config, swing is button 6 ! You mean that i should reverse the "Runner_Select n°" with the "Runner_run to" ??? Ok i'll try this...

Don't rush ahead and change things quite yet, I don't want to mess anything up because I can't exactly remember the correct settings. I'll post my set up later tonight, probably around 7PM ET.
