scarzy
Is anyone else getting this strange line on the runner pip as noted in this picture? I have noticed it when using 4x or 8x AA with my Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra card. I have tried various AF settings and it does not seem to affect this line. Any help is appreciated. The H
It happens also with ATI cards... I guess it is a weird effect caused by applying AA to the game's graphics. Btw, would you please crop the screenshot to a smaller size? it wreaks havoc with how the forum's windows are displayed.
baseballfans
scarzy base on your EXPENSIVE video card hehe U shouldn't have this problem. Perhaps everything set so HIGH detail that slightly in perfection U will notice. What does it looks like if U play at smaller screen Resolution? Cause I am bit surprise the Human shadow looks like robot in the Rolen example U have. Whereas, the Stadium shadows looks nice on day game. The H
baseballfans, If you check your game, you'll notice that is normal for most shadows to look like that, no matter what card you're using (EA's fault). And the problem with the PIP happens even when using AA at its lowest setting of 2x... and btw, this was present also on 2004 (and if I remember well, on 2003 too). five
Yep, I've always seen it as well. Never knew it was the AA that was causing it. Thanks for the heads up H.
ezdriver
Yeah, I get it in 2005 as well as 2004. On a side note, is anyone working on a mod to totally delete the baserunner PIP as was done in 2004? Sure would make things look a whole lot nice IMO. ez

RAM
hey i see it... almost like the default ea overlay is bleeding through or something. wow, i'm as anal as it gets never noticed that though. oh wait, i have aa off. nevermind.
jscand
I have a different problem with AA/AF. Does anyone have an issue with the live big screens. On 4x, they work fine. You see the live shot, then when the pitcher starts his windup it goes to the player's portrait on the big screen. But on 8x (the only way I could play without the grass shimmering) the big screen has half the picture of the player, and half a picture of the field. Anyone know why it would be messed up on 8x? I have an Nvidia Geforce 5900 Ultra.

MarkB
Guys...sorry to tell you this, but that line isn't just a weird yellow line that's been shown...the PIP box isn't 100% transparent, hence you can see some features of the stadium through the PIP. Now, look at the stands in the picture. Look at the mysterious line. See the similarity? It's the rail from the stand!
Kriegz
nope not always, ive seen it while pitching too and in the EXACT SAME SPOT
ezdriver
It's the rail from the stand! That's just a coincidence (plus how do you explain the vertical line there as well ) ez
MarkB
Hmmm....if you increase the brightness onit, it is a lot clearer. The line goes from the foul pole and is on the same horizontal path as the rain, but the vertical line goes beyond the rain onto the middle of the PIP image. Weird. spitoon
If you watch it in action, it's just that the box is shifted by one pixel. You can see the rest of the field through that slim 1 pixel wide line.

I can show you 10000000000 screeshots of the PIP... maybe that way you'll see that it has NOTHING to do with the Stadium' railings.
