Jitter
Ive played 2 owner mode games since the new patch came out, and have given up more homers than i had in at least 30 games. My Ace AAA pitcher had like a .3 ERA and a perfect game, but in his first game since the patch he gave up 4 homers in one inning in pro. It didnt mater what pitch i threw, or where i put it, it was gone. My next relief pitcher gave up 1-2 homers as well. Then I played a AA game and my second best pitcher gave up 3 homers in his start and my best reliever gave up 2. All the pitches that were hit out were not "mistake pitches" except for one. Everything else was barely on the corners or edge. My teams homer frequency didnt seem to change, but the CPU seems to be on steroids. Anyone else notice anything similar? ssmith7289
.3 ERA?? Sounds the game is now a welcomed challenge
TROR
the CPU isn't on steroids, sounds like to me you have had a couple of off games and the CPU took advantage of that.
telemudcat
If you have "variable stuff" turned on, then your pitchers had 'variable stuff', and the variable being "terrible".
bobniborg
Hehe, yes. You should not expect to finish with a .3 ERA so that means you have to get shelled every so often. Just remember, the Yanks took a 22-0 beating last year by a crappy team. Doo-doo happens in baseball. Just look at the long haul numbers.
Jitter
lol well i guess your right it was just weird it was back to back games. I play on pro because my pitching is good, but I am not that great at hitting yet. I tried a game on MVP, and the score of the game was about the same as my pro games. My timing and contact seem mostly good (i watched some pitch/swing analysis) but my hard hit balls normally are right at someone. Could be just my players. My team is built on youth and speed as my oldest guy is only 24. Ill probably move up to allstar soon I just downloaded one of the mods that has a good hitting cam. Ill see how it goes from there. saimon33
I think the game is more challenging now... Randy johnson allowed 4 homers last night... and 9 runs... I still won the game... I guess i have to be even more careful...
spitoon
If you are giving up nine runs and still winning, you might need to make some adjustments. Either to the difficulty level or sliders.
UncleMo
well i was shocked because my first game in the 1st inning my 1 starter for the braves hudson gave up a jack to someone from the pirates. i still won by a large large margin though. Materfiend
 You may have to etablish a subtance abuse policy in your owners mode!
Jitter
No i did not give up 9 runs and win. I do not get the hitting at all. I just played a game went into 16 innings its was 0-0 and gave up a homer to lose. I have not scored more than 9 runs in a game yet. Normally i score around 3-4. I played 3 practice games on MVP I lost 4-2, won 3-1, and lost 3-2 which are pretty close to my pro scores. I can pitch at any level, but my hitting is terrible. I cant figure out what im doing wrong. I watch the pitch swing analysis and I am hitting in the green the majority of the time. I hit a lot of balls to deep center like 370+ but they dont go out or drop. Hopefullt ill figure it out soon cause its getting frustrating. MarlinsFan
Played one game with the patch, the computer tossed a shutout against me, ending my 13 game winning streak, Beckett struck out 12 in a row(1-4 inning) then in the 5th he allowed 2 runs, struck out the next three batters. 6th inning to more runs... Lost 4-0, I only got 2 hits both by Pierre
