dubeau
Went in Off season. Took me a lot of time to get the rosters right, and then start Spring Training, and the @@#^%#& game adjusted the rosters ! I was 9milliion$ under before the off season, when i restarted a season with all the changes in contract, i was still at the same amount of debt !!! Don't get me wrong but when exactely the salaries are counted in the budget. They don't seem to be in it at any points in a season. Medium budget isn't playable in owner mode. You get stuck very fast in debts, winning or loosing. The owner mode took a big drop for me...Not sure about you, but i don't see the fun in it. dubeau
No actually it does it automatically exactely, at the Start Spring Training it f...d everything on it's own. How could they let something like that happen...when every other options is asking or manual controlled. WEAK.
bobniborg
Yes, I feel your pain..> I did the exact same thing. I spent quite a while calling people up and sending them down... reworking contracts, etc... then the computer optimized it by itself. Dynasty does not do it. So I no longer play owner mode. Sadly, i think that's what i will do to. The roster CPU optimizer is "hands up" the worst option in the 2 MVP. It just created a mess almost 100% of the time with the lineups. If it didn't begin to send up and down players, that would be tolerable. It's like they purposely scrapped the owner mode in my view. I don't how poeples playing the owner mode can tolerate it. mgsports
You are talking about Spring Training I had Tim Hudson in Triple-A intill the end of Spring Training and had a guy I drafted up on the Major League roster in Spring Training that's a problem and this bugs me is that in Spring Training you should be able to have the roster limit be unlimited so you can see if any of your prospects that wre bought to camp as non rosters players or pitchers can make the roster or somebody on the 40 man rosters who is ticked for the minors try and make the MLB roster and that you can't play split squad and games against one your minor league teams and this bugs me also that the Offseason isn't like in real life I like in Out of the Park Baseball that you can have more then 25 on your MLB roster in season because then the computer will to make the roster 25 if will send somebody to minors or design somebody for assignment if they have 1 or more yaers of MLB experence

You get stuck very fast in debts, winning or loosing. Just so you know, the players salaries come off every game you play, so it will have no impact on the immediate profit or loss of your team. If you lowered salary on your team, you will notice it as the year goes on because you will have less expenses from game to game. That is where you will make the money up that you "saved" by lowering contract expense. :)
dubeau
I can't beleive it ! It also does re-arrange the $^&$(%^) roster in Dynasty mode. What a full load of crap EA did with their off season !!! :x A simple and stupid automatic option that you have no control over is messing the complete game and replay value, and is making the life of the player ten times harder to manage the rosters in off season. Bravo ! Definitively it merits a standing ovation regarding how crappy this is.

imataqito
i, for one, don't think the auto org is all that bad. you really have to set your org rankings of all your position players to your satisfation to get the auto org to work correctly. I use to it to set my minor league rosters quickly. I just wish you could rank your pitchers as well...

What is the point to manage you lineups and rosters yourself if the CPU is redoing everything at the beginning of the season ? I promoted players that were doing well in AAA, and the CPU put them in A level during the start of season. The CPU rearrange the lineups according to their contract and level of satisfaction (Where the player desire to play), it DOESN'T even look at their performance in a particular level. This is plainy stupid programmation on the part of EA. There is no point of putting a player in a particular level in this game, or doing any kinds of promotions/demotion because in the end, the CPU will decide for you anyway. There is no way around that fact. And this is a HUGE gameplay problem in my opinion.

And i also wonder why the pitchers aren't there...but at least if it limits the lineups screwing.
