regardless if you batter is a left handed batter and right handed batter?

Yeah most of the time. If it's a lefty pitcher and the ball is coming from the left it seems like momentum should carry it easier to left field rather than go the opposite way to right field. Just my thing. You also asked further on if anyone doesn't use the analog at all. Yeah, I'll often do that when I've got two strikes on me. If I've got a guy on third I'll want to hit to right field. If there's less than two outs I'm got plenty of chances to get the guy in whether it's a popup, falls in, or is an infield grounder.

I love this game!!!!

On MVP, this is what I do...

I guess and think what pitch and where they'll throw it before the pitch. If i get that pitch in that location I'll swing, and if I just get that location, ill still swing, but i'll just have to remember to time it right. If it's neither, then I don't swing and a lot of time it'll be a ball. I don't know if that will work on pro, but it does on MVP

Here is my philosophy...

If I feel that I can easily guess what is coming and/or where it will be, then I try to swing early and pull the ball (analog stick left for a RH batter). If I'm not reading the pitcher well or I want to take a few pitches and wait for something I really like, then I'm going to aim for the opposite field, which allows you to wait on the pitch a little more. If you're late on an opposite field attempt, it's a hit, but if you're trying to pull it and you're late, you're screwed. You get more power by pulling it, however, so if you know you can time a pitch well with a power hitter and you swing a fraction of a second early, it's a 450ft shot.

How does that relate to the original question? Try to read the pitch, but go opposite field more. You'll have an extra split second to read-and-react. I usually fall victim to the long ball, however, and start trying to pull the ball, but the philosophy works when I use it.
