CaliColts Posted May 16, 2004 Share Posted May 16, 2004 Has anyone using Oedit ran into the problem of having an object that you move in Oedit disappearing when looking at it from certain angles in the game? Example: Moved object to use as new ad, object shows up in game, but the entire texture disappears when looking at it from certain different angles on the in game replay. Not from all angles, but it does disappear enough to make it look bad. If anyone has a workaround this problem or has any advice, it would be much appreciated. ezorn33 Posted May 17, 2004 Share Posted May 17, 2004 Yes. This happens when an object (the ads) is too far away from the rest of its part. It seems that the game only renders certain parts at once, and nobody's found a way to change that. The ads on the Fenway bullpen were doing this, because I put them in Part 001 (the one with the CF scoreboard). Whenever the camera got too far from the scoreboard, the bullpen ads would disappear. I fixed this problem by adding them to a part in that area -- the part with the RF distance marker. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
