Ivanhoe
When exiting the manage roster section (in game) a box pops up telling me that the Cubs don't have 25 players on their roster. I look at their roster, and they DO have 25 players. For kicks I thought I would let the computer optimize the rosters. When I click yes, nothing happens. What is the deal? I haven't downloaded anyones rosters, in fact I haven't even touched the Cubs in MVPEdit. I did download the latest version of MVPEdit. (2005.4) That has to be the problem, but how do I fix it? Thanks in advance...
markprior22
Could it be one of the minor league teams that is short handed? If a minor leaguer gets hurt, you still have to fix the roster.
Ivanhoe
I'm not sure, you see, I haven't started a season yet. I've been working on the rosters.(Naming all minor leaguers) I haven't got to the Cubs yet, so this problem in confusing. All I can figure is that by switching to the latest MVPEdit (which allows for 25 players in AA & A, instead of 22) it's requiring me to fill the empty spaces. But why won't it optimize the rosters? Hmmm..
mastasports1
Maybe it meant the IOWA or DAYTONA Cubs
Ivanhoe
No I check the minor leagues. The weird thing is that all minor league teams have 22 players, but the program didn't like something with the Cubs, I checked the rotations and batting orders, both of which look fine. I don't know what to do. I may have to start my roster project over. It's a shame too, I had all of the AL done and a quarter of the NL. Three weeks of work gone. Comma
You can export just the teams you did and re-import them into a fresh roster set. That way your work wouldnt be in vain. Also, with using MVPEdit I found that it sometimes messes up the pitchers spot in the batting order for NL teams and the NL Batting orders for the AL Teams. Not quite sure why this happens, just does. Also havent been able to fix it. When I access the lineups in the actual game, it says (null) (empty) in the pitchers spot. ,
Ivanhoe
You can import specific teams? Hmmm... That would make my week. Okay, it's only Monday...and the Tigers played well today... Anyway, how would one export only certain teams? That's probably a stupid question, but I'm fairly new to this PC thing. Thanks for your responses... Comma
in MVPedit, In the file drag down menu in the top left corner, there is a export option. I believe the options are DAT Files, Players and Team. I also just realized that you can only export one team at a time, but for you that might not be that bad of an idea. Exporting and importing something like 45 teams rather than redoing all 22+ players on each of those teams sounds like a pretty fair trade off to me, but thats just my lazy ***. ,
