pstrickert
I'm watching CPU-CPU games. Recently, I've seen MANY passed balls/wild pitches (sometimes 3+ per inning). I don't know if it's slider-related or not. I've increased CPU Pitch Control, but to no avail. It happens to different pitchers and catchers with no rhyme or reason. Has anyone had the same problem? spitoon
I don't do CPU-CPU games so I can't really comment. I have played about 70 games against the CPU and I can say that I don't think there are enough wild pitches or passed balls in those games. stecropper
pstrickert, I think your problem might be the rosters you are using. In previous versions of MVPEdit pitch trajectories were not checked for validity and assigned randomly. In the more recent versions of MVPEdit they are valid however. Thus, if the rosters you are using were built with older versions of MVPEdit and/or using invalid pitch trajectories for pitch types you will see balls sailing all over the place occasionally. The newer versions of MVPEdit identifies invalid trajectories/directions with an "*" in the Pitchers section under the direction column. They can be changed very easily to valid trajectories by pitch type as they are unmarked and selecting one of those will eliminate your problem. At least it has from my experience as I am a CPU vs CPU player also. Take Care, Don
pstrickert
I checked for invalid pitch types. Nope. That's not the problem. Other ideas?
pstrickert
I've changed rosters. I've switched datafiles. I'm still seeing a PB/WP problem - but not with every pitcher. It has happened, as I recall, with Ben Sheets and Randy Johnson. Could someone setup a CPU-CPU game between MILW and NYY with Sheets and Johnson as SPs? Tell me if you see the same problem. Thanks.
