Help!!!

I seem to be hitting at will now - even on MVP. I got addicted to the batting mini-game and my hitting has improved immensely. Everything seems to be going up the middle. Anyway, I want to return to normal MLB standards. I just finished a game 21 - 7. I had 28 hits on 63 at bats. Totally unrealistic. Anyway, what datafile out there will return me to normal MLB standards? What do I need to edit in the tuning file? Contact is -50, Pitching speed is 50. Any other changes?

As odd as this sounds, try raising your contact back to 0 or even +50.

There was some suggestion a while back that the slider may function backwards, or at least that -50 gives you a 'smaller' sweetspot but you are able to hit the ball harder while +50 allows you to make more contact, but not hit the ball as hard....I can't confirm this, but that's what I read.

What datafile are you using? KSM's made some changes to the difficulty levels and I found the game harder with it.

I am using the default datafile. I had set up a poll elsewhere in the forum to see which datafile out there was the most realistic to MLB. I'll check out KSM's and set my contact power back to 0.

is this a good way to improve your hitting?

it certainly worked for me... it really helped me aim my hits and get a better feel for the different pitches.

You should play online if you are hitting that good!
