Cris987
After many patient posts from fastballfreddy, I've now learned how to make photo sets. (I've even uploaded a photoset for the Toronto Blue Jays ) However, I'm more interested in making Cyber Faces or Uni's. It would be extremely appreciated if somoene as patient as fastballfreddy can teach me how to make them. Thx -Cris987 ;)

rolie
oedit can only use o filez to edit. so ord2o and o2ord are appz that convert the ord and orl files in mvp to o files that oedit can read these are the 3d faces

rolie
bigGui is sorta like eagraph, its used mostly used to compress the ord and orl files. i'll get into this later. i'm working on updating pedro martinez'z face so. i'll go step by step because their are a lot of steps. i'll try not to be confusing. basically when editing cyber faces their are three files to deal with per face. the cxxx.fsh file- this one has the face image the cxxx.orl file- this one is the 3d face the cxxx.ord - this is other 3d face so, first thing we need to do is find out what cyberface number Pedro is. to find the number just open up your attributes.dat (should be located C:Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2004data) in Wordpad search for pedro, you gotta press find next a few times the number is always going to be after the 12. so his numbers are c006.fsh, c006.ord, c006.orl you can now open open up your models.big file in Eagraph to view the c006.fsh file. (you cannot view the orl or ord files here, that's what oedit is for) the c006.fsh file can now be extracted out of Eagraph as a png. then you can edit the player face in photoshop. C:Documents and SettingsRolie Mendoza>cd c: C:>ord2o c006.ord c006.orl c006.o ord2o Command Line Utility version 1.0 - Jan 24 2003 Processing data from ORD file... Processing data from ORL file... rolie
heres what it should look like. i've moved the vertices back to give pedro a fro. sometimes selecting is a pain. you have to play around and learn to use select and muliple select and deselect -Shift+click when in select mode. zoom is painfully slow (Ctrl+W)

Playball335
Hey Rolie, looking good. Are you aware of how to display the players mapped texture in the lower right box? It is a parameter you add to your shortcut. It is /rgbemulation. Also there are o to ord and ord to o bat files that ask you for the file name and convert them for you automatically. You can find them here. http://cfw.cyber-nhl.net/ordtools.zip I apologize if you already new this.
rolie
you just saved my fingers from typing stuff in. i was trying to put in textures, i read the other tutorials on their, sweet! thanx playball, took out a lot of time i spend typing in!
Playball335
You're welcome! What are you using to export your orl/ord's? What do you use BigGUI for (I know you can compress files with it)? I have been just packing them with gfxpak. We could all use a little less of this..... :banghead:
rolie
bigGUI exports them so i could post em here. never used gfxpack for it. i guess you could, im not sure if i could. but bigGUI does it fine i guess. Eagraph doesn't compress em right.
Cris987
Damn looks like I ain't that bright :banghead: I'm encountering some dumb problems that is preventing me from editing 1. How do you convert the .fsh file to .png? 2. How do you use that batch file that playball talked 'bout? It just flashes and exits... 3. I have converted the .ord and .orl into 1 .o file, yet when I open it with OEdit (v0.2.41) , it pops up an error "An error occured while loading xxxxxxx/c186.o File contains unsupported sections." What's wrong? Thx P.S I'll list my procedures here, and hope someone can point out wat i mite be doing wrong: 1) extract c186.ord and c186.orl with EAGE 2) decompress when prompt to 3) use ord2o to convert the 2 files into 1 .o file 4) open with OEdit 5) ERROR! -Cris
rolie
1. on eagraph select the file then save as png clicl ok a few times 2. havent used it yet. been bust on 90 reds i'll try in lil 3. make sure you extract thoses two files out of big GUI not eagraph, i think thats why its not reading your o file
