Jitter
Hello, does anyone know what all factors the CPU looks at when you are trying to do a trade? I have had some success in trading, but I just started a new owner mode and didnt get Oliver Perez on my team. I have 3-4 very high rated young pitchers, but i dont really want to trade either of the top 2. I know the CPU looks at overall rating, does it also look at money and current stats or other things? I thought maybe if my 3rd pitcher did well after a few games it might influence whether the trade goes through or not. Anyone know if this is true or not? tmengd
Not sure, but usually when I do trades for a top player, I have to send 1 player right below his level, plus 1 mid level and 1 lower player. Sometime sending 3 midlevel works as well. but not always. It seems to except 3 players for 1 a lot more often then 2 for 1 in any case.
LastPickedForTeeBall
Yes they do look at age, money, and star power to decide whether or not to accept a trade.
Jitter
thanks for the replies. I think im going have to do w/o getting perez though, I had already signed most of my players to longer term and much bigger contract deals so I doubt the CPU will make the trade. Perez is only making 300k but I think he only has one year left so maybe if i complete the season I can get him as a Free agent. I tried trading bonderman + scott posednik (spelling?), but bonderman is locked in for like 5-6 yrs at 10mil.
