armyofone
Just started a franchise in the owner using the NY Yankees. I realize making a profit with low end stadium is going to virtually impossible, but I plan on dumping, trading or not just resigning some of their overpriced studs after the season. Currently 10 games into it with a 7-3 record. http://www.naturalsports.net/mvp/baseball.htm Best, Chris

mvpmodder07
dont get rid of guys. Win as many games as you can and you will quickly start turning profits

armyofone
I think the problem is the size of the stadium. Can't make alot of cash with small stadiums, and I can't upgrade because of my current cash situation. The life of a GM!
armyofone
Updated threw 20 games now. Currently a struggling 11-9. Starting pitching is really a concern, esp considering the price tag on some of those so called studs. http://www.naturalsports.net/mvp/baseball.htm
mvpmodder07
what size budget did you start with and what upgrades did u purchase? those directly effect revenues
armyofone
budget is large (actually not sure the difference) and bought as much concession type things as I could (Probally worth about 3 million).
armyofone
Updated threw 30 games now. Went 7-3 over the last 10 games, but still remain 2 back of the Boston Red Sox. Derek Jeter was lost for 30 games with a injury and we actually made about 500K over the last 10 games!
armyofone
Updated threw 40 games. Went only 4-6 in the last 10, dropped to 3rd in the East. Finally traded away Kevin Brown to Washington for Jon Rauch. I needed to dump salary and he had a plus 9 ERA in 8 starts. Not cutting it for a 15 million dollar man. xcapitanhookx
So how did you get your stats up to your site there?
armyofone
manually unfortunalty. Have to have the stats, but thats the only way currently. I was hoping for a 3rd party utility, but no such luck.
xcapitanhookx
Yeah but how....How do you get the stats exported...Are you playin on PC I did the same thing for my PC Madden 2005 league, but the stats from the game were put into My, My Documents/Madden NFL 2005 folder http://users.adelphia.net/~dbmadden I used a Program called NoToad to compile all the stats together and it worked really well for 10 team league and 12 games... armyofone
there is a program called "MADCAT" for Madden 2005. Its basically a database which also creates web pages for madden career league. You can see a example here: http://www.naturalsports.net/madden/nfl.htm As far as MVP goes, I just take screen shots of the stats and them manually input them onto a web page. I wish it was like Madden with the stats documents into the my docs folders, but no such luck.
xcapitanhookx
MADCAT only works with Franchise mode in Madden for stats.... We just play IP to IP and I manually do the schedules and whatnot... I know all about madcat, it is cool if your doing a franchise
armyofone
oh yea, also playing on the PC version.
xcapitanhookx
There has to be a way that we can get the stats exported... I mean we save the owner mode and the dynasty....So it is there if you really think about it
armyofone
I'm sure there is. Has anybody tried using the 2004 stat program on 2005?
armyofone
now updated threw 50 games. Sitting at 27-23, 6 games back off the Boston Red Sox. We went 5-5 over the last 10 games. Tony Womack joined Jeter on the DL, but both are expected back within a week.
