69Yanks
Could not find a similar post. In the data/stadium folder there is a text document lighting that has the various lighting. If you want a dusk lighting at Yankee, which by default only has night and day ligthing, all you do is change it to 02dusk and save: You will need to put in some dusk clouds from Fenway for the full effect. I took out the dusk effect at Fenway and changed it to day as I could not pick up the ball and no way am I going to be get whiffed by Schilling. arliday,04day bankday,03day bushday,05day comeday,05day usceday,05day coorday,02day crosday,03dusk_c dodgday,05day anahday,02day fenwday,02day forbday,06dusk_c gabaday,06day grifday,01day_c jacoday,03day kaufday,02day millday,05day minuday,04day netwday,06day orioday,02day sbcpday,06day_o petoday,03day citiday,02day pncpday,06day poloday,06dusk_c propday,01day safeday,05day sheaday,04day shibday,06day_c skydday,01day spotday,06day_c turnday,02dusk wrigday,02day yankday,02dusk a001day,03dusk_e venuday,02day aaa1nite,07night aaa2nite,07night aaa3nite,07night aa01nite,07night aa02nite,07night aa03nite,07night arlinite,07night banknite,07night bushnite,07night comenite,07night uscenite,07night coornite,07night dodgnite,07night anahnite,07night fenwnite,07night gabanite,07night hiranite,07night jaconite,07night kaufnite,07night millnite,07night minunite,07night netwnite,07night orionite,07night sbcpnite,07night petonite,07night citinite,07night pncpnite,07night propnite,07night safenite,07night sheanite,07night skydnite,07night tigrnite,07night turnnite,07night wrignite,07night yanknite,07night astrdome,07night metrdome,07night olymdome,07night tropdome,07night metpnite,07nite_c clevday,07night veteday,02day qualnite,07night a002day,06day_o a003day,03dusk_e min1day,07night min2day,06day rfksday,02day rfksnite,07night cineday,02dusk fencday,02dusk_c venunite,07night

The H
Here's a quick comparison of how the lighting change can affect how players look. The screenie shows Brian Giles @ Turner Field in Atlanta. The left side of the screen shows him with the Lighting setting for the stadium changed to '05day' and the right side shows him under default '02dusk' conditions. It is quite obvious that the change of settings have a nice effect on how the players and the uniforms look. Normal lighting remains the same, at least according to my opinion. Shadows change a little bit, but more in terms of how 'solid' or 'transparent' they look. Positioning wise, they remain the same (the Light Towers cast their shadows in the exact same position with any of the settings, at least under Dusk and Daylight conditions), which kind of makes things feel a little weird. bigwill33
Oh I see, so this doesn't change the sky, just the actual light it gives off so to say. I want to get different times of day in the sky at all parks, like dusk, night, and day at every park. Maybe a selector or something to choose. Good find on this, but not anything I need to use imo. five
Brian Giles It's actually his brother, Marcus. If you ever want to rename your stadium to another stadium, you rename the light file and the actual stadium file.
ezorn33
the Light Towers cast their shadows in the exact same position with any of the settings, at least under Dusk and Daylight conditions If it's like last year, this is because they're not actually casting shadows -- the shadows are static images, like the basepaths or the grass. baseballfans
Will the dusk effect help solved the helmet reflection problem? Peter trying to do face mod and he can't see the whole thing because of this.
mflv
Great find. I just changed the lighting on all the classic stadiums. Now they look like baseball stadiums instead of dungeons. Thanks. Just another step toward making a great game better.

How come some of them have the _c after them? Do you know what that means? Is that the Cooperstown effect? and what about the _o, etc.?
tebjr
How come some of them have the _c after them? Do you know what that means? Is that the Cooperstown effect? and what about the _o, etc.? Sean, Pirate, Paul, any stadium modder, can you help me here?
Sean O
Yup, C is classic. I'm not sure what's so special about the spring training parks to deserve an _e, or what's going on with the _o. Honestly, I've barely ever dealt with the lighting effects since it affects results so dramatically less than the different skies.
HardcoreLegend
The only one I've ever really changed (other than trying to make a day version of a stadium) was Turner Field and Fenway to get rid of those awful pink tints.
tebjr
I've been trying to make a day version of old Cleveland Stadium, and even after I add a day sky, it still looks like it's night. I thought the lighting file may have some effect.
Sean O
Cleveland also has a funky lighting setup, which I learned from all the time I spent working on it as a base. Try loading up the park's crowd file (after making a copy), and the crowd file of another day stadium, look at the "color" under vertex properties, and copy that over to every vertex in the cleveland one. HardcoreLegend
Thanks Hardcore. It's not the crowd0.fsh file is it? it should be crowd.orl and .ord. You have to turn it into a .o file. Open it then in OEdit and highlight ALL the vertices in each part. Then, part by part, change the vertice color to match what the color would be in a day game. If someone knew the 'default' middle value, you could just use that.

HardcoreLegend
Oh, OK. Oedit :wall: It's not what you think. It's easy. You don't have to do anything except change the properties. Very, very simple.
