I think if we get some people to join together to make uniforms and rosters, that we could add a little more to this great game. I don't know which teams should be included, but id be willing to create most of the florida teams (UM, FSU, UF, UCF, etc...) Also, since oedit is changing the way stadiums are being modified, i think we can make some college stadiums using possibly the AA and AAA stadiums as a base. Anyone up for the challenege? fush12 Posted May 18, 2004 Share Posted May 18, 2004 I love the idea of a College Baseball game...i've been waiting for someone to start talking about it and I think its an awesome idea...I could created like 20-30 teams and create probably the top 3-5 college stadiums..like Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, NE...that would be a great thing to do...I love the idea and hopefully you can get some help to work on it...GREAT IDEA!!! stecropper Posted May 18, 2004 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Hi Anthony13, I think the creation of a College Baseball PC game is a fabulous idea and would fill a real void in PC Sports Gaming. My 3 sons in College have already created an entire SEC roster set but are just experimenting with Uniform modding. There is already an LSU Uniform uploaded on this forum and I hope that ignites a flood of College Uniforms to follow. The Tiger fan that made the LSU Uniform has informed me that he intends on making an entire set of 4 or so LSU Tiger Uniforms. Rosenblatt would be the main Stadium needed but Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge draws larger crowds than any Minor league stadium I know of so it would be a great 2nd choice as well !!! I hope to see people releasing college baseball team logos and uniforms when i releasing the program. Sandman was in the right direction when he released his st. louis browns. I really feel good about all this and i think college baseball is going to start appearing in this game. you can have your old time teams, college baseball, maybe little league if we can get the players small enough. There are 32 major league teams right? something like that... here are some of the top College programs Miami University USC Nebraska Texas Oklahoma FSU LSU Rice (aint bad) Stanford Witchita State UCF UofF(florida) Anything in Texas or Oklahoma... most Florida and Cali schools too. CG 29 Posted May 20, 2004 Share Posted May 20, 2004 I know for a fact that the reason you want all Florida and California schools in the game because they are good but you fail to understand that there are other colleges besides LSU, Miami (FL) and other big name College programs for baseball. I could see this argument made to EA, but to modders who are doing this out of kindness and love for the game. I don't think so. There are 117 DIV1A schools (at least on NCAA Football), it would be taxing for one person to come up with all of them. The real complaints should be directed at EA, for not making a college baseball game and not making the football one for the pc. mcoll Posted May 20, 2004 Share Posted May 20, 2004 there are good programs around certinally, but there is large factor why most of thr grate teams are who they are and other are good, but you don't really hear there name said much. WEATHER! teams not on the pacific, more like California, the southwest going east from there fair much better then teams in the nothern plains, midwest, or Northeast. the pwoer to answer the st johns answer is there a decent team from what i know, but the power of the Big East (there conferance) is Rugters and Norte Dame, West Virgina. i think there the three most southern schools in the baseball side of the Big East conferance. of coruse there are exceptions. one noted exception is my region of the Big Ten, the triditional strengh of our conferance actully are two of north schools. Michgan and our most northern school Minn. on the point of there sghould there be game, it would be wounderful, like the ncaa football brought up, its more diffacult to do, because collage baseball information is harder to come by than the football. there access to to both, but the amount and ease of getting that information is not the same. football is more accessable as a whole, then baseball at the college level. its a fun to dream to have. I think it would be good if we had people organize what teams they would create. Here we go: Im signing-up to do all top Florida teams. Hopefully more people will sign-up to complete teams they think sould be in there. I believe this project when completed will be one of the finest in the community. I'd be interested! the issue is what schols to put in. if you go by teams with thriditional pwers of colege baseball then you really looking at three or four conferances and taking different teams from them. the prodomanitant pwoer college baseball conferances are on exact order acc (currently 9), sec (12), big XII (10), and pac 10 (southern six schools are the triditional powers of that conferance, but the washington schools have been there in recent times. i think only (i think only 9 play). there others, but they are the norlam power conferances, and is clear there more teans than spots to use, so where would go with this. unless its clear its clear, tther would be one possible answer. take the best powers teams from each power confernce, use them as the teams at what is majors now, then plasce others at AAA and if need be AA. this is if we can't can't come to a some clear idea of who to use at a single level. this to me would be the two clearest possible ways to do the basics of the project. the bigger issue will be the rosters and the and player ratings and the likes, if we go that far. I did it for my love of college baseball and because college baseball has always been neglected when it comes to games. I'm glad to see there are more followers of this!
