Getting the Redsox roster update to work with mvpedit

Dwayne, you have to have a complete roster file open first, and then you'll be able to import your team (Boston in this case) into that file. It's greyed out when there is no .mbe file open.

Dwayne, are you trying to import the Boston organization into default EA files or another downloaded roster set? If it is the EA files you first need to import the EA .dat files and save the roster as an .mbe. To do this, you import from Program FilesEA SPORTSMVP Baseball 2005datadatabase. You'll then be prompted to save the file as an .mbe file. After you've reached this point you can use the Import Team function. When you're done, check for errors and then Export to that same database folder. Hope this helps.

Yikes, I'm not sure, but that sounds like it would be a problem. Does the game even play for you?

Are you able to get the original .dat files off the CD and copy them into the database folder without them turning into Nero files? That might be worth a try.

Well, that seems to be par for the course for this game...fix one thing and break something else. :D I think I've spent more time breaking and fixing and breaking again than I have actually playing the game. Hopefully you'll get it sorted out soon!
