beckjordan1985
Can you actually make a trade in this game? I turned on "fair trades" does that have anything to do with it? I play with the Angles an I'm trying to get rid of some high contract players. I have proposed many trades that I felt were more than fair. Does this game make teams stay away from high contract players?

MarkB
I've found that the trades are pretty realistic when it comes to salaries. If you are trying to trade a guy with a massive contract even though he is a great player to a small club with a small payroll, generally, they won't accept it. So don't try to trade Manny Ramirez to the Brewers. :D

MarkB
Yep. Just because they can afford it doesn't mean they actually want to take on the contract. From what I've seen, it is pretty good. If they are in need of some starting pitching and you are offering them a star second baseman with a large contract, if they took that trade, they would have a great second baseman, but their pitching would still be lacking, so they really haven't helped theirselfs.
