levithain
I downloaded both the first and second patch and when I tried to instal them I got this message. Patch Error: Old file not found, a file of the same name found. No update done since contents do not match. is there a way around this?
five
It's your dat / exe files, install the original files from your cd. This has been answered many times, next time do a search before asking.

five
Did you install any mods or cracks before you installed the patch?

The Big Unit
If you haven't got an altered .exe file and no mods, then more than likely (not saying you didn't, just more than likely it's because) you didn't pay for the game and got a copy on the internet somewhere in which case you probably won't be able to patch. People playing Tiger Woods, Madden and MVP over the years have all gotten the same messages when they had ripped or illegal copies. Not accusing you and you don't have to admit it if you do have one, but just keep that in mind if you do have a copy of the game rather than a store bought original.
