Just an update to let you all know where I'm at...

I've completed coding for the league standings, scoreboards, schedules, salaries, and team lineups & rotations pages. I'm currently working on the league leaders pages. Next will be X-box compatibility and probably a beta version release as soon as I get it converted to .NET. I don't have a set in stone time for a release yet, since I haven't had much time to work on this lately. I'll try and put up some more pages of the new stuff later today.

Sounds good! Looking forward to it!

Rich, is there any way to request a team totals feature for a future release? If there was a team totals page for various stats (like the league leaders screen, but it would give team totals for all 30 teams instead of just the top 30 players in the league), it would be incredibly helpful for anyone trying to adjust simulated stats via player progression/park factors/player creation.

It's on my list, Bill. It's actually one of the few pages I haven't done already, but I'm planning on it!

OK, guys. Here's a new preview....

I've uploaded the MLB base pages (all links at the top are generated) here...

http://www.geocities.com/mvpsavreader/Rosters/MLB.html

The St. Louis Cardinals pages are here (all players have batting and pitching pages, but not ratings)....

http://www.geocities.com/mvpsavreader/Rosters/0B882338.html

Any links referencing any other teams are not on the Geocities site (if I wanted to upload them, I could though - it is a lot of data when everything is generated).

This is based on Kraw's PC file through the end of the first season, by the way.

I've validated most of the HTML generated by my program so it should work in most browsers.

Team totals/leaders, player ratings pages, and x-Box compatibility are next.

Un-freaking-believable!

That's all I can say.

Too bad nobody can figure out how to edit the data (for the PC version) of players so that you can change some things after you start a franchise.

If it's not checksum-protected, I could do it as a second project after MVPSavEd, after I get a copy of the PC version, of course. No promises though... since my hands are full right now.

Here's the link to the donations page.

Donations are not required, but they are appreciated!! Thank you all for your comments and enthusiasm for this utility. I'll probably give an updated progress report here later today or tomorrow morning.

I did play with VB.NET last night and realized that it would take almost a complete rewrite to make it work. So plan B will involve using VB6. I'm working on getting Visual Studio 6 re-installed on my PC today and will spend some time on the player ratings page if I have some to spare. I guess I just gave the progress report, eh? :D

is this goign to be available for owner mode as well?

Possibly. I haven't looked at the owner mode data enough to determine what the differences are between it and dynasty. I'd guess and say that it shouldn't be too big of a deal. I'll add it to my ever-growing to-do list!

Just an update. I've worked just a little bit today and have about half of the ratings page coded. There's a lot of information to put on there!

Just a quick update for everyone. MVPSavReader is now converted to a full VB application. I have created an installation package and and working out some bugs that crept in on the conversion. I still need to finish the player ratings page and do some clean-up work, but I think that I am less than a week away from the first beta release. Thanks to those that have donated to this project! As a way of saying thanks, I will be releasing the beta a little earlier to those who have donated (it will probably have some bugs and some features that I haven't tested completely disabled though). As far as my to-do list goes, I haven't touched owner mode or X-Box compatibility yet (the conversion has taken almost a week), and there are a few pages that I want to get done still (team stats, etc).

I am getting excited about being close to release on this though. Not long now!
