yukon2k
i've been editing a roster and now am ready to start a franchise, but i can't seem to export my roster into the game from mvpedit. i click on "export", then the directory screen is shown as c:program filesea sportsmvp 2005 data - i click to export to that and it says everything's fine, but when i go into the game and load the roster shown, it is an old roster with none of my updates. i then went into mvpedit, changed the name of the roster i want to export (to make sure that name shows up in the game when i click to load rosters) and go through the same procedure mentioned above with the same results. i don't see my exported roster in the game when i click to load rosters. i again went back into mvpedit and re-tried to export, this time it tells me i already have a file by that name and do i with to overwrite. i don't know where this is being exported to, but it doesn't show up in the game. i went into windows explorer into the games data directory and i don't see the roster listed anywhere in there. can i just copy and paste this roster to a file or on the desktop and then click 'save as' rostername.dat instead of rostername.mbe and paste it into the game's data directory? yukon2k
i've tried that. it doesn't show up in the game when i click "load rosters" in the game. does mvpedit automatically change the .mbe extension to .bat when it exports or do i have to do that when i "save as"? also, when i click "tools" and then "options" in mvpedit, the directory shown on the left shows mvp2005data. is that right or should it show mvp2005datadatabase? Dead_Monkey_Z
It replaces the default rosters. You don't need to load anything.
yukon2k
It replaces the default rosters. You don't need to load anything. when i tried that, it doesn't show my edited roster which is named mlb2005. it just shows 2005 as the roster name. when i load that, it still shows an old roster that doesn't have my edits and keeps telling me certain rosters don't have 25 players when, in my edited roster, i made sure every mlb, AAA, and AA roster had no more or no less than 25 players, so i know this isn't my edited roster. mastasports1
When you import .DAT files (default roster) in MVPedit, you then save a .mbe file called anything you want. This is JUST FOR MVPedit, and not for MVP. After you've edited all that and want to put that .mbe file in your game, all you have to do is go into MVPedit, hit export, select the database folder, and hit OK. You are done. Load up MVP, and that .mbe is now your default roster. You don't have to load any roster, because there isn't any! To start a franchise, you just start it! yukon2k
i'll try it again, but as i mentioned, i tried it before and it doesn't show up in the game as the roster name that i called it and when i open the roster, it has a bunch of old rosters and doesn't show the editing changes and player transactions, but i'll try it again and let you know

That .mbe file which you made in MVPedit and called you what you want is made into .DAT files by MVPedit. Those .dat files do not have the name of your roster, but they are the 15 or so files which make up the DEFAULT ROSTER OF THE GAME. WHEN YOU EXPORT FROM MVPEDIT, YOU ARE EDITING THE DEFAULT ROSTER OF THE GAME. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOAD ANYTHING ONCE YOU GET INTO THE GAME. THE .MBE FILE YOU MADE IS ALREADY LOADED IN THE FORM OF THE GAME'S DEFAULT ROSTER, EXCEPT WITH YOU CHANGES. THIS DEFUALT ROSTER IS NOT NAMED ANYTHING, OR THE NAME OF YOUR .MBE FILE FOR THAT MATTER. SFGiants061
Is there any way in global editing to add 10 points of power, contact, speed, stamina to all Single A players?? I know how to get those players with less than 45 contact to identify them, but i want to add 10 points to all of them. Can someone walk me through it? Thanks!
