Problems With Base Stealing

I play with Yankees all the time. When i hit up on the Logitech directional pad to steal 2nd the runner always gets thrown out. Its like he leaves 4 seconds after you hit the button. Does anyone else have this probelm?

That's because of the Steal Delay. Theres not enough time for the runner to begin running after you have told him to get his 2 ;eads before the pitcher throws his pitch. Go to the sliders and adjust the Human Steal Delay. I think it's -1 thru -50 for less delay. If it's not try +1 thru +50

Test it out first with the 50 first and then adjust it to something good. Or if you want it preset then use the Pro Sliders Download or the All-Star Sliders found in the forum.

A negative steal delay value means less delay (i.e. the runner takes off quicker), while a postive steal delay value means more delay. What you want to do is start making the steal value more and more negative until you get a realistic number of stolen bases.

Yeah stolen bases are kinda ridiculous this year. I built my team based on speed and it didnt mean squat. I set my steal delay to -7 that is not too bad, but it still doesnt seem quite right. I got thrown out on a 75mph curveball w/ a guy w/ 90+ speed. Im probably going to set it at -10. I really dont like to change the sliders i feel it is cheating in a way, but its pretty much impossible to steal the way they are now.

I can also catch the CPU stealing most of the time unless I hold the button too long and the throw goes off line. I had to bring up one of my AAA catchers because my other 2 got hurt, and even he is 3/4 on throwing runners out.
