LusciousJohnnyD
I finished a full season in owner mode and am now starting Spring training. I noticed that in St you can play mini games and help improve your players, or at least I think that's what they're for. I say that because I've played some and afterward it'll say something like power v LHP +4 and stuff like that, but it doesn't change the player's attributes. Do the mini games actually improve your players and, if so, how do they improve because I haven't seen any changes.
basballfanatik9
They do improve your players, they add power, or contact, it may not show it, but it does, I think it's just another EA glitch.
LusciousJohnnyD
That's it!?! I would think that EA would show you the newly updated attributes a la madden. Anyone else have a take on this? BTW, you may want to edit your sig. The Marlins are 5-6 now :D
Sean O
No, you need to finish Spring Training before the mini-game results have any effect on the player progression, just like last year. What happens is +5 or +x whatever is added to what the randomized progression change that would happen to your player regardless. That's why I tend to only run mini-games on my young ***** players because then I know it'll be a part of a huge jump for them. I typically don't play many games of MVP, so I mostly sim owner and dynasty mode. Definitely focus on the youngins, and make sure you get BJ Upton and Wily Mo Pena, among others, immediately. LusciousJohnnyD
I think you're right. I had that idea last night and tried it out. I did a mini game with Carlos Beltran v LHP and simmed to the end of ST. He had a lot more progression against LHP than RHP. BTW, do you know a way to increase a player's stamina. I got a good prospect lined up, but his stamina is too low for a SP. I dont want to make him a reliever cause he's had good stuff when I use him.
