Im playing on allstar with the sliders -30 batting power for the cpu and they still jack out about 3 a game and most of the HRs are off coldzone pitches. I uess ill just have to knock it up to -50

Why is it that I can play on MVP level with no slider adjustments and have 0-0 games go into the 13th? I can't hit on MVP level yet, but pitching is TOO simple.

Are you using spitoon's walk fix?

Maybe you're a god?

Must be... :)

I'm just saying that it's certainly possible to pitch well, at least with no datafile/slider adjustments. I'm certainly going to adjust some sliders, but until I can hit on MVP level, I'm not going to change much.

Wow, you must really suck at pitching in this game.

What I learned to do was not always throw a first pitch strike. Alot of the homers I have given up have been first pitch fastballs on the corner. Also if a guy is taking alot of pitches or fouling them off it seems he is more likely to hit a homer or at least a hit so I either pitch around him or be very careful. If you have 2 strikes, dont throw another pitch in the zone. You can almost always get the CPU to chase one. A low curveball (about 2 ball diameters below the zone, or low sinker works well). If your guy has a slider I put it outside the opposite corner about a ball length and they chase it or make weak contact. I do not have much luck w/ changeups in the zone. Everyonce in a while a try to sneak one in, but I hold my breath when I throw it cause the CPU seems to like whacking at them. I tried the low chageup out of the zone like someone mentioned that works OK as a strikeout pitch, but they dont seem to chase those quite as often as the curves.
