Pitcher Fatigue

I realized when digging through the data file that different pitches will cause different levels of fatigue for the pitcher... i.e. a throwing a screwball or splitter will tire a pitcher out faster that changeups and knucklers.

I was just wondering if there was also a correlation between the power of your pitches and the fatigue level as well. I always throw full power on the meter. If I want my pitcher to last a little longer in the game, would I be better off only throwing 90% instead of 100% to some hitters.

I'm not sure of the answer and thought I'd throw it out for discussion.

Of course that's common sense. The harder the pitch throws the more fatigued he gets and quicker too. But if you throw at a weak power then batters will just go open season on his @$$. My pitchers can go 6-7 Innings every game and i ALWAYS throw at full power.

All of my MLB pitchers are young w/ high stamina (around 90+), and I can pitch complete games most of the time if i choose to do so. The usually finish w/ stamina at around 40% so. What I do is around the 6th or 7th inning w/ 2 outs I do a mound visit. If its successful you pitcher will regain some stamina. If its not successful (he will lose some), I finish out the inningand and call a guy to the bullpen while im batting. When im up to picth again I try the mound visit again. If it doesnt work i usually bring in the reliever, but if it works he should have plenty left to finish the game.

Right now I have the User Pitcher Fatigue set to 0, but after I throw around 20-25 pitches, he is already under 80% AND I don't even throw into the red to maximize control.

How far should I move this slider up to make the game more realistic??
