New, but very pissed off!

I have read tons of posts referring to the fast gameplay issue with the second patch.

First of all those saying that turning on VSYNC is a fix in game, is WRONG. Second, those who are saying their gameplay is not turbo fast must have a junk video card. Anyone out there with a half way decent card $100.00+ will experience this extreme fielding/running speed.

I am just sick and tired of people claiming guaranteed fixes to the problem, when they are wrong. EA screwed up, period! Anyone who is not experiencing the turbo play either has a junk video card/computer or is blind.

Sorry for the pissy first post but there are lots of us who are upset about the issue and people claiming that no problem exists are not speaking for the majority with decent gaming rigs.

I have what you'd call a very high-end pc... and I'M NOT HAVING ANY KINDS OF PROBLEMS with the freaking game.

There you have it... :|.

I know there's a bunch of people with problems... but coming here, bitching about it and calling everybody else who isn't dealing with those issues a liar... is just WRONG.

No it's not wrong.

Anyone using a higher end video card with up to date ATI drivers is having problems.

I am guessing you are using crapidia. Really sorry to hear that. MVP is probably the only game that runs right on your "PC"

Baseballdude, lose the attitude first of all. It won't get you very far.

I'm using an 128MB model ATI Radeon 9000 Pro with updated drivers and I am having absolutely no problems with the game. No stuttering, no fast play, nothing.

Less of the assumptions.

uhhh, I had the turbo problem, and turning v-sync on DID help, you have to enable it in your graphics card options AND in the game...it'll definitely fix the problem, I'm proof of it.

Here we go again.

VSYNC is enabled both in game and in the display properties.

What video card do you have and are the drivers up to date?

Dude...

9000 pro?? LOL my card has double the engine speed. Heck any card that is less than 4 years old is twice as fast. You would have an attitude too if you were having the same problems.

Radeon 9600 256..and yes I have the latest Omega drivers (that I am aware of).

Regardless of what you think man...I turned both on and it did work. I have a default datafile, so if you don't, maybe thats your problem.

I have the 9600xt. What datafile are you referring to?

Actually, I believe the 9000 Pro was released in 2003. I'm pretty sure (very sure, actually) that I could find proof that your statement is false.

And no, I wouldn't have the same attitude as you. If I was still having trouble, after, say, a month of non-stop tweaking and editing of the display properties etc., I would either ask the guys here for help (In a respectable manner) or return the game.

If you don't know what a datafile is, then you didn't change it I would assume. If thats the case, then are you accepting the change to v-sync on in the game and then going back to make sure the change stuck?

Which statement is false?

9600XT (2 years old) has an engine clock speed of 500mhz

9000 Pro (3 years old) has an engine speed of 250mhz

Yes Ken I went and doublechecked. Someone said that they reverted back to the really old ATI drivers and did not have problems anymore. Are you using the Omega Catalyst 5.2 drivers released 2 weeks ago?

Your statement that any card less than 4 years old is twice as fast.

Your card came out in early 2002. Who cares anyway? You are not having any problems.. Fine. I was not having any "fast" problems when I was using my 4 year old 9200se.. So what? Apples to oranges.

Good day.

don't forget to check your refresh rate if you haven't already. If that doesn't fix it then try re-installing the game and starting from scratch...but I know that it has to work, theres gotta be something you're missing along the way..and no problem.
