thr33niL
I can notice some slight 'speed up' if I turn off the AA and AF and run the game at 800X600. But with the AA/AF cranked 6X/16X and in the ingame resolution at 1280X1024, I have ZERO speed up issues. BTW -- Put me on record as having a flashed and overclocked X800Pro with the 16 pipes open and running X800XTPE speeds (yes with the 5.4 cats). Sooooo.. just more evidence to put the kybosh on that 'everyone with high end systems/cards has to inherently have speed up problems' theory. sharpmath
No it's not wrong. Anyone using a higher end video card with up to date ATI drivers is having problems. I am guessing you are using crapidia. Really sorry to hear that. MVP is probably the only game that runs right on your "PC" Hi! My PC is like GOD. And I had the speed up problem. For one game. And then for some reason It stopped! Your insistance that EVERYONE is having this problem is silly and childish, yes? I have a Pentium 4/3.2 GhZ, 2 GB of RAM, and I am using the 5.4 Drivers on my X800.

I used to run an nvidia card prior to the 9800XT I have now and the game ran with no problems. I'm using the 4.12 drivers from ATI as these are the most stable and better performing drivers for my card. I don't get any slowdowns because I did a refresh rate override in the control panel so that it runs at 60hz in the game. From there, I enabled vsync in the game. No problems yet. EA didn't screw up, basically they uncapped the FPS limit.
dxman830
im using a GeForce 4 MX420 video card [yea, i know I need a new one]...but im having ZERO problems with the game. Everything runs smooth and looks great
Izhe
My computer is a week old and I'm video card is 256MB PCI Express x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) nVidia GeForce 6800 GTO Controller Speed - 350MHz On Board Memory Speed - 450MHz Controller Data Width - 256-bit RAMDAC Dual - 400MHz and I have not had the problem in the last two weeks and I'm in my 2ed year and I play all my games, plus I didn't have the problem before getting this pc. You're having a problem with the game, just take it back get another one or reinstall it and don't install the 2ed patch.
steroid
I have what you'd call a very high-end pc... and I'M NOT HAVING ANY KINDS OF PROBLEMS with the freaking game. There you have it... :|. I know there's a bunch of people with problems... but coming here, bitching about it and calling everybody else who isn't dealing with those issues a liar... is just WRONG. H, this is a first for me.......we have something to agree upon for the very first time. If your having probs, you cant just say most people are having the same probs due to a graphics card being to good. I dont have a very good PC, but I have a Gforce fx-5200 PCI 128 MB DDR, its not a junk card and I have no probs what so ever. The reason its not a junk card compared to the higher tech cards, is because of the age of my PC. Its not the best card, but its not an obsolete card either. I not once got super fast play. MVP and any other game I play, I have no probs.

I am guessing you are using crapidia. Really sorry to hear that. MVP is probably the only game that runs right on your "PC" You're simply wrong. Just because it didn't take care of your problem, doesn't mean it didn't for others. I am telling you, I had the very same problems you had. I have a high end machine, video card is 6800 GT. Ever since the second patch, I am LITERALLY fine. No more problems. Look for my prevoius posts on this subject, drove me nuts for WEEKS, it took care of it, since paych 2, for me and many others..... But, to prove you wrong on the ATI issue, all my PC buddies swear on ATI, and they are fine, as a matter of fact, THEY NEVER HAD THE ISSUE. baseballdude9470
Ok.. So stereotyping everyone was wrong. Anyway I still say that 95 percent of the people with higher end video cards AND the most up to date drivers are having problems. I have tried both the 5.4 Catalyst AND the 5.2 omega. Players still run like they are on crack. VSYNC is on both in game and in the display properties. Refresh rate is locked at 60 HZ. This is an EA fuk up plain and simple. You can tell they released the frame cap because the images still kind of stutter a little like they are going a million miles an hour.

baseballdude9470
oh yeah if your refresh rate is 60 with ati it wont work!!!higher dude Ok but here is the problem. I have a dell e173fp flat screen and the highest refresh it supports @ 1280x1024 is 60hz. I can go higher but it is not the optimal refresh rate. Jitter
Maybe your monitor drivers are not correct, that way even w/ vsync on it might not be locking the correct limit. If vsync is ON and you are playing @1280x1024 then depending on your monitor your refresh rate and FPS will be no higher than 85 (if you have a 17 or 19" monitor its probably 60hrz at 1280x1024). I have played at 1024x768 w/ an 85 refresh rate w/ vsync on and I use ATI tray tools or FRAPS to check my framerate. At 85 FPS the outfielders do appear to be quick. Use the refresh rate locker on ATI tray tools, and customize what resolution you play at to 60hrz. If your framerate goes above 60 then either you dont have vsync on correctly, or your monitor drivers are not correct. Everytime you install new vid drivers, you should reinstall your monitor infs as well. I am using the cat 5.4's as well.
Jitter
P.S> Most monitors have a button to push on the that displays the vsync. To make sure its working correctly, once your actually on the field hit the button on your monitor and see if its reading what it should be. MVP is probably the only game that runs right on your "PC" I have an alienware that has an brandnew ATI X1950 video card, and up to date drivers and have absolutely no problems with my game. Matter of fact the game looks outstanding in every faucet of the game. Maybe just you are having the problems. What video card do you have again? Maybe I can help out a bit.
