blicero
There are no balks called in MVP 2005? Am I correct?
spitoon
I haven't seen one through about 110 games played.
wilmer007
Yup that's kinda sad. But i guess no baseball game has ever had it. Every baseball game i have ever played never had it so why should MVP '05 have it.
HardcoreLegend
What about snap throws? Has anyone seen a catcher make a snap throw down to first after a pitch?
Sethuel
Yup that's kinda sad. But i guess no baseball game has ever had it. Every baseball game i have ever played never had it so why should MVP '05 have it. All-Star Baseball used to have balks. They had the nifty lefty pickoff move where you could start your pitch and then attempt a pickoff during the delivery. If you did it too late, it was a balk. I miss that game. Best franchise mode ever.
erbkylej
No you can't make snap throws unless you make a pitch-out

Brodieman
All-Star Baseball 2004 is one of the best sports games I have ever played except for the lame free agency in franchise mode.

wilmer007
Wrong!!! Highheat 2004 has got a balk call!!! Notice i said "Every baseball game i have ever played never had it " and i never played High Heat Baseball. Only played the Ken Griffey Jr N64 Games, and MLB 2001, Triple Play 2001 and All Star Baseball 2000-2001 and that was it. And then MVP Baseball 2003-2005. CT_Braves_Fan
High Heat 2004 had one, but I think that it was just random. I remember seeing it called but not that often (even after playing several seasons -about 5- in a career). Am already in mid September in MVP2005 have not seen one balk yet. Also, I am kinda disappointed that MVP 2005 does not track holds. That was one thing that High Heat did very well, tracking peripheral stats. acpython1
Well, I remember that "Baseball" for the Sega Master System had balks... but they only happened if you attempted a pickoff on a base that wasn't occupied... e.g. If there was a runner on first and you tried a pickoff at second, you got called for a balk. But I haven't played any game since that had balks... then again, I've been a slave to EA since Triple Play for the Genesis...

The balk looked artificial made... 2: You are right man: Holds are a great statistic; I dont understand, why they have not Holds in MVP 2005, belongs to the stats-game. And then MVP Baseball 2003-2005. Actually, The old Ken Griffey games did have balks. I remember playing Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest back in the day....
