Ok, what's up guys? I just bought MVP today and also purchased a mad catz controller for my computer. Everythings good, game installed great.....game looks freaking amazing... I throw my first pitch..and bam its a pop fly to the outfield....But when Wells goes to run for the ball he keeps.....diving? Yes that's right...when I move my players, they always just dive. I'm using my left analog to move too. I know its like 3am in the morning but I pray someone can help me. Thanks - Coady

So all your doing is moving the left analog by itself, and they still dive, they never run? In that case, go to the controller setup menu in the game, and see if the correct one is selected.

When I go to controll config theres only offense and defense and, theres no way to set what buttens i use to run or dive. just the standard ones. Anyways to get to a advance controll screen?

The same thing happened with my Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. I went out of the game, unplugged the controller from the USB port, plugged it back in.

Everything was fine after that.

Do you have two joysticks on your pad? The same thing happened to me with a saitek P880 just now and I found out it was because the right joystick wasn't centered on the windows configuration panel. I recalibrated like 5 times but it still centered up, which kept all my players diving. I sent an email to saitek but then just figured to unplug the thing and switch ports with my USB mouse and it worked perfectly. I have been playing for like 1 month and this was the first time it happened to me.

This has happened to me too. Usually when I boot up with the controller upside down on my desk and the sticks are pushed to a side. Once I just got a plain defective one and went and swapped it for a new one. In the windows controller calibration menu do the sticks show up centered?

this might sound noobish --- but try using the other analog controller since u said u have 2 (for me, the left analog [i have a thrustmaster firestorm dual power] is for the big play stuff --- like diving) and the right analog is for movement.

If the right stick shows up off center in the config screen even after unplugging and replugging, and your drivers are up to date, most likely it's just plain broke. Did you try a different usb port? You know you can get a Logitech dual action for $19 or a ps2 adapter for around $10.

I had the same problem too, I hated that I couldn't press a button to make it center. The only thing that worked for me was to switch USB ports and calibrate again. The only other thing I suggest would be to email customer support for the game pad company. If you have done all you can, its probably the controller itself that is screwed, so getting them to replace it might be the only option.

Try control panel/game controllers/your pad should show up on the list, click on it to highlight then click properties, click the settings tab up top, then press calibrate. This utility should recalibrate it unless its broke. Good luck.
