Trying to install Patch #3

and get this error:

Patch Error

"Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since the files do not match."

I have not installed any roster mods, just official patches. Any ideas?

Are you using a No-cd patch? You must have made some sort of modification to at least one of the game's files...

Also, where exactly did you find Patch 3?

Patch 3 is a roster update on Ea website....you need to put back the default rosters.

On cd1 there is a file called compressed......copy it and place it on your desktop.

open it and there will be a folder called database......copy the folder and replace.

Then run patch 3 again........I had the same problem and this was the cure for me.

I did the same thing i copied the database folder and it still gives me the same error message, if anybody is experiencing this too please post. :cry:

When it gives you that error, just grab the box and move it out of the way so you can see what file it is getting hung up on. Replace that file with the stock one from the CD and run the patch again. Repeat as needed.

I would imagine most of us here are using some sort of modified rosters anyway. Why go through all the troubleshooting for a roster update?

Not worth it.
